There will be a replacement for this video shot sometime over winter 2017 and potentially released either 4Q 2017 or 1Q 2018 if all goes well.
Not every step of this process is covered - you will require the service manual in order to do this right. Between this video and the manual you should be able to do the valve shim adjustment WITHOUT removing the engine.

How to rip out the motor and replace the bearings on a window air conditioner. Not all can be done this way, but if you're handy you can restore some air conditioners to like-new performance and get rid of the grinding noise.
Had enough of the darn noise after a few months. Yes, this was shot early as heck in the morning.

Was following a friend while she started getting her bike legs. After 2 days of practicing and an MSF BRC, she's not dropped her 2006 Ninja 650, nor has she dumped herself from it. Either she's a quick learner or I'm a good teacher.
Yes she's going slow, she'll speed up as she gains experience.

This is what it looks like when someone hasn't serviced your unit or doesn't care to properly set the gas pressure and intake air during a conversion. It can cause the unit to soot and fail. In my unit I found the pressure was set for natural gas instead of propane. This is 1/3 or so of the pressure it should be set at.
We had a guy out here from main care that left as soon as it fired up. Didn't either have the knowledge to adjust it, or just plain didn't care. Not sure what the deal is - will be having a HVAC guy I know take a look eventually.
You should get a pretty much pure blue flame with yellow tips on the end when using propane, similar to all the other gas appliances at my place.
***UPDATE- Late 2016***
The cause of this issue was found - the propane provider did not cut the regulator over to LP pressures (11" WC) and instead left it at Natural gas pressure (3" WC.) I switched it over and it now heats. Before we had issues on the coldest days with it not staying lit and giving up and coding out.

I used semi metallic pads from Bike master.
Takes about 5 minutes a side on the Ninja plus about that for the bleeding. Then make sure to bed the pads in. Be careful with them the first week or so afterwards.
MAKE ABSOLUTELY SURE YOU BED THEM IN CORRECTLY AFTERWARDS. YOU DO NOT WANT TO HAVE A WRECK!!!
WHEN IN DOUBT, CONTACT A PROFESSIONAL.
This was done on my 2012 Ninja 650 with about 32k miles on her at this point. Still running like a top! Could have run longer on the pads but I'd rather have my safety margin.
