It's bottling day!!! Today I'll bottle up 3 gallons of hopped cider. It will be a sparkling brew, so I'll add a teaspoon of sugar bottle in order to get that sparkle. I'll so you how to obtain bottles on the cheap. I got these free from friends. One gallon made 9 12 oz bottles of brew.

It's bottling day! I show you how to bottle up your homebrew today. I like all my ciders sparkling, so I will be bottle conditioning today( adding some sugar. I like to use the flip style Grolsh bottles to bottle all my ciders. These bottles can be used time and again. Just clean and once in a blue moon replace o ring. They are the easiest way to bottle homebrew I know. Enjoy

some cold brewed coffee. I used a french press and let the grounds steep over night

1 pk wine yeast. I used Red Star Cuvee

Today I’ll be making a 3 gallon batch of muscadine wine. I harvested these grapes from my own property and my brothers. You’ll need per gallon:
5 lbs grapes
2.5 cups of sugar
1 pk champagne yeast. I used Red Star Primere Blanc
1/2 tsp yeast nutrient
2 tsp acid blend ( I added 1 now maybe the other later)
Water to top off the gallon

Love making wine. Want to know how much alcohol by volume is in your wines. Then tune in. You'll need a hydrometer in order to calculate ABV. When you are making a wine and are about to pitch your yeast, get a sample into the beaker and drop the hydrometer into the beaker. Make sure everything is sanitized. get the reading from the hydrometer that is your OG or SG original or starting gravity. After fermentation stops take another reading that's your FG final gravity. Plug readings into this formula ABV=(SG-FG) x 131.25. Before I didn't care about alcohol content. When asked how strong is it I'd reply "I drank three and Suicide Squad was a good movie." Now I can tell exactly how much alcohol is in my wines. And you can to!

Today it step in the making of a Strawberry Banana wine. I will show you how I transfer my new wine into a new vessel and off its lees. Racking it to a secondary get the wine off its lees and off the fruit to prevent possible off flavors. I will keep it in the secondary until it clears. Which may take a little time as banana may take a while to clear. Once the wine clears I will then bottle it up. Then it will be time to enjoy. Please comment on what yo are making.

It's BREW DAY!!!!!!!!!!! Today I am making my favorite alcoholic beverage. Cider!!! I love making my own cider. It's quick and easy. I've use my own apples and store bought juice. Each is way better than anything I have ever bought. Even European imported cider. It's all to sweet for my palette. The beauty of making your own alcohol is you can tailor it to your own pallet.
