Welcome to EPT Online!
In this course, you’ll learn how to speak English with absolute clarity and precision. We cover all aspects of sound production and what goes into pronouncing English properly. Starting from the very basics of learning new sounds, we teach each of the phonemes of spoken English. Phonemes are all the different sounds that make up all of human speech. We cover the history of the language and how it evolved through history. We also discuss the biology and physiology of your vocal system.
When you understand what goes into making sounds and how your body actually accomplishes this, you achieve greater control over your speaking voice. This control of your sound allows you to chose the way you speak and even tailor your accent to your audience. Taking this course shows you how to stand apart from the crowd and be remembered for the content of your speech rather than the sound of your voice. Leave your audience with the impression you intend.

English fluency starts with nootrl!
nootrl is the best pathway to second language fluency. Learn English through these three steps:
1) Phonetics
2) Vocabulary
3) Grammar
Almost all other English language channels focus only on one of these three steps and usually only the last step, grammar. Research has proven that in order to achieve fluency, you need to learn a language in the order listed above. It improves retention and significantly shortens the time to fluency. You can speak English fluently, even without one-on-one English lessons or an English teacher!
This is what makes nootrl different! We built this channel on real linguistic research. If this is your first time watching our videos, we recommend starting with our channel playlist titled English Pronunciation. Pronunciation is really about registering the phonetics of a language in your brain. This process is what allows you to retain new vocabulary as well as understand people when they speak quickly.
Whether you're a beginner or an advanced student, nootrl has something to improve your English. We've worked with TOEFL, IELTS, and TESOL students all over the world and developed this channel to ensure our students passed with flying colors. (English idiom: English speakers will say "passed with flying colors." This means to do something extremely well. To surpass expectations and perform really, really well!)

Did you know that learning just 3000 words of a language can make you 90% fluent? While that may sound like a lot to remember, learning the 3000 words gradually makes this a task you can easily accomplish.
Useful English adjectives are a great way to add more context to the subjects in your sentences. English adjectives are useful and learning them can be easy. Use the steps listed below to memorize words quickly.
Here are FOUR science-backed tips to help you out:
How to remember new vocabulary words:
1. Watch this video to learn an approximate definition of the word and learn correct pronunciation.
2. Embed the sound of the word into your brain (our course at www.nootrl.com will make this part a lot easier) and then speak it at least 10 times out loud to yourself, make yourself familiar with it. Speak the word slowly and then speed up gradually.
3. Look up the definitions of the word and translate the meaning into your own language and experiences. Think of ways that you would use this word in your native language.
4. Find someone who doesn't know the word you're focusing on and tell them a story about the word. Both you and your partner can learn English words through story. This step accomplishes two things. First, you will repeat the word many times which strengthens your brain's ability to remember the way it sounds. And second, it gives your brain a starting point to recall the word the next time you need to use it.
The 3000 words that are covered in this series are the 3000 most commonly used words in English. We've broken them down into ~20 word videos. By the end of this series, you'll learn all of the most useful English words.
If you're interested in learning 3000+ useful English vocabulary words for speaking, check out our other videos. In the other videos, we teach Latin and Greek roots, reading, and pronunciation.
