Today is my last working day in Digicam, a work that I leave to focus on my art and voice projects. We are recording interviews in Guerrilla game company for the upcoming release of Kill Zone. People is wearing Google Glasses in the meetings and there are dummies dressed as soldiers everywhere. If anyone moves, I die... What a weird place... A strange farewell, like all my experience during this time. The personal wastage has been brutal, and I feel that I need a change of scenery... and focus on my essence. Let's go!
¡Vamos!
Writers’ fear of the blank page is well known. It is something that can also happen to artists. After all, literature is another of the arts that are inspired by the muses.
It is very strange that I feel like this, since a new artwork only excites me because of the path that I am going to travel. I always start from well-studied sketches and I brush strokes full of energy before the new project, but there comes a time when the artwork takes the reins and moves where it wants.
As many of you know, I started my artistic career when I was only 8 years old, in 1989. The following year I participated in my first collective exhibition.
Since then I have not stopped even a moment to see life through the filter of art. It’s almost 30 painting exhibitions in which I have participated so far.
A few months ago I did a project with the NWO Art Gallery, Los Angeles, California, and performed a dozen commissioned portraits to US customers.
I have also made posters for films produced in the United States. I have led branding projects, made websites from scratch, and I have become familiar with a way of working that is very similar to mine.
Given the acceptance in this country, I intend to start exhibiting my plastic work there, and want to start my work actively spread worldwide.
I promise you that you can’t believe what is coming!
Now the canvas is blank. Prepare to enjoy what remains to be painted!!!! ???

"Gran Vía without Humans" is an acrylic painting on canvas. As a farewell to my stage in Madrid, I represented the Gran Via, one of its most famous streets. Social criticism is again present in my art, showing a central street in a big city where people are forbidden to circulate, and where nature is recovering its place. It is a critics to the prevailing repression in modern society. This work is the first of the "Cityscapes" series.
Gran Vía (literally "Great Way") is an ornate and upscale shopping street located in central Madrid. Now, the street is known as the Spanish Broadway, and is one of the streets with more nightlife in Europe. It is known as the street that never sleeps. It leads from Calle de Alcalá, close to Plaza de Cibeles, to Plaza de España.
The lively street is one of the city's most important shopping areas, with a large number of hotels and large movie theaters; it is also noted for the grand architecture prevalent among many of its buildings. But now, most of the theaters are being replaced by shopping malls.
It is considered a showcase of early 20th-century architecture, with patterns ranging from Vienna Secession style, Plateresque, Neo-Mudéjar, Art Deco and others.

"Fisherman" is a charcoal illustration of a marina. The piece represents a backlight of a fisherman in a classic boat at dusk. I used a beige paper to enhance the drama of the image. With this work, I use again the landscape as inspiring element, with man as disruptive element.
Artists' charcoal is a form of dry art medium made of finely grounded organic materials that are held together by a gum or wax binder; which can also be produced without the use of binders by eliminating the oxygen inside the material during the production process. These charcoals are often used by artists for their versatile properties such as the rough texture that leaves marks less permanent than other art media. It can produce lines that are very light or intensely black while being easily removable and vulnerable to leave stains on paper. The dry medium can be applied to almost any surface from smooth to a very coarse. Fixatives are often used with charcoal drawings to solidify the positions to prevent erasing or rubbing off of charcoal dusts.
The method to create artists' charcoal is much similar to that of charcoal used throughout different types of fields such as producing gunpowder and cooking fuel. Therefore the type of wood material and preparation method allows different variation of charcoal to be produced.

Art - Acrylic Painting - Abbey
"Abbey" is an acrylic painting on canvas. This picture was an experimental encounter with Ana Molina, with which I painted this canvas side by side. With Abstract Expressionism as stylistic premise, we mixed strokes all over the canvas with such empathy that results in a totally integrated art work.
Abstract expressionism is a post–World War II art movement in American painting, developed in New York in the 1940s. It was the first specifically American movement to achieve international influence and put New York City at the center of the western art world, a role formerly filled by Paris. Although the term "abstract expressionism" was first applied to American art in 1946 by the art critic Robert Coates, it had been first used in Germany in 1919 in the magazine Der Sturm, regarding German Expressionism. In the United States, Alfred Barr was the first to use this term in 1929 in relation to works by Wassily Kandinsky.
The movement's name is derived from the combination of the emotional intensity and self-denial of the German Expressionists with the anti-figurative aesthetic of the European abstract schools such as Futurism, Bauhaus, and Synthetic Cubism. Additionally, it has an image of being rebellious, anarchic, highly idiosyncratic and, some feel, nihilistic.

Hong Drone II arises from an aerial observation of Hong Kong. It is the second part of Hong Drone series, a travel who goes from abstraction to figuration. So this piece can be chosen as the most balanced piece of this series.
To make this series, I have chosen a saturated and contaminated city like Hong Kong. It is one of those places that have become anodyne and overcrowded over the years, places built almost exclusively with steel, glass, concrete and asphalt, and that are covered with that gray patina caused by pollution that at the same time unifies everything.
What I do is like a make-up job, where I clean all that ugly grey coverage and I embellish every single building with bold colors.
Color is used here as a symbol of beauty and diversity, in opposition to the functionality and consistency of today’s big cities.
Hong Drone II was exhibited in Artexpo New York 2018.

Oil painting on canvas of a mountain town landscape. It belongs to the genre of landscape, genre with which I have a special relation. The painting shows a natural scene of a town landscape. It begins to reveal my taste for optical realism, influenced by Expressionism, as can be seen seen in the background. Both light and paint colors begin to evolve in my art and it starts to be more creative.
Expressionism was a modernist movement, initially in poetry and painting, originating in Germany at the beginning of the 20th century. Its typical trait is to present the world solely from a subjective perspective, distorting it radically for emotional effect in order to evoke moods or ideas. Expressionist artists sought to express the meaning of emotional experience rather than physical reality.
Expressionism was developed as an avant-garde style before the First World War. It remained popular during the Weimar Republic, particularly in Berlin. The style extended to a wide range of the arts, including expressionist architecture, painting, literature, theatre, dance, film and music.
The term is sometimes suggestive of angst. The Expressionist emphasis on individual perspective has been characterized as a reaction to Positivism and other artistic styles such as Naturalism and Impressionism.
![Art](https://www.pakocampo.com/images/art-separator-pako-campo.png)
