"Higher Education in Global Society: An Inernational Exploration of the Implications of Educational Diversity", Professor Allen shares findings from a five-year collaborative project that examined he implictions of educational diversity for teaching, learning, policy, practice and research in higher education. Scholars from 10 countries on six different continents explored the question of diversity in higher education and whether/how it matters. Jim Bishop, senior scientist at Berkeley Lab and professor at UC Berkeley, is leading a project to deploy robotic floats that provide data on how microorganisms sequester carbon in the ocean. He recently led a research team on a 10-day voyage, funded by the National Science Foundation, to put the Carbon Flux Explorers to the test.
