Let's hope not!
After about 18 months of flying, unfortunately, the P4A has had a serious crash.
Even though I do fly it quite frequently, I do swap-out the props for new ones about ever 10-15 hours. On this occasion, it seems, that wasn't frequent enough.
As a result, while it was about 100ft away and 30ft high, a prop snapped which immediately caused it to drop onto the thick mud of the River Mersey river bank.
Many drone pilots have said that there is nothing more heart-breaking than walking away carrying only the controller - on this day, I came very close!
Even though it was unlucky for a prop to fail, it could have failed while the drone was over the river and it would never be seen again. Also, it could have failed while it was over rocks on the river bank and have been smashed to pieces. As it happened, it failed while it was over very soft river mud.
Walking out to it was very treacherous, very fortunately, their was some kind help offered from 2 guys who were better prepared than I was by roping themselves together.
As a result - it was successfully retrieved.
Damage: both legs broken, gimbal yaw arm bent, lower plastic shell cracked, smart battery swollen (discarded).
On opening up the shell, mud had to be cleaned out from most places.
Even with a cracked lower shell, it does still fly!
With a bit of help, it might be possible to fix the final part of it whereby the camera doesn't send images to the controller and the controller doesn't send commands to the camera.
So, the generally trustworthy P4A will now be retired until it can be fully fixed.
DJI no-longer support this model, so it was flying without a Care Refresh package.

Well, THIS has been one of the most bonkers places to fly so far!
Many thanks to the Granny Annie's staff for agreeing to and arranging access for this flight.
Drone was a DJI P4A, collision sensors switched off, gps off, gimbol using +30 degree upward sweep.
Building had many huge steel girders which caused take-off refusals due to magnetic interference. Although this was flown out of hours - closed to the public - it was still a very tight place to manoeuvre in - some take-offs were aborted due to prop-wash causing instability. One of the landings was bouncing very close to a bench :~)
While this was flown by me, Granny Annie's also have a full unedited copy of the drone footage to produce another version of this film.

Liverpool Metropolitan Police are selling this building, so there was an opportunity to record the interior prior to it being sold on Friday 29 Oct 2021.
While the building has been closed to public access since circa 2012, it has remained in active use for the police until mid 2021.
Liverpool Police website suggests there are about 74 buildings such as this which together have a building maintenance cost of £12m per year. Rather than continuing to spend that, the police have decided to build new much larger complexes and to sell off these smaller buildings which are not suitable for modern policing.
Anyone could bid for this plot/property however as this is still classified as a police station, the building-type is "unclassified". Planning permissions would need to be approved by Liverpool City Council for change from its present use to any proposed new use such as restaurant, shop, community centre, residential, etc. Gaining any such permission can't be assumed to be approved.

Here, the present condition of the site that was referred to in "Strawberry Fields Forever".
Yes, free copyright clearance to use a version of the song in this video was sought - see below.
Perhaps the royalty-free songs used emphasise that this was always a "The Salvation Army" location- not a "The Beatles" location.

Subject: Strawberry Fields forever
Hi
I've just flown over the original site of strawberry Fields with my DJI phantom 4 drone - it's now a building site.
As a hobbyist flyer, non commercial, I'm wondering if I could ask for permission to use this sound track as backing for my video on YouTube please - fully credited.
Best wishes, River Mersey

On trying to exit from a supermarket carpark, was presented with this car that was reversing seemingly trying to park.
While being aware that there was another car behind it that joined the main road in front of me, I then moved forward.
Didn't expect this car to suddenly stop trying to park then jump forward ahead of me - at speed, and not staying in the correct lane.

Here are the inaugural results of the #EvertonBrow Hill-Climb Trials...
*** My hope is for other personal transport providers and manufactures to make available their devices to be trailed on this exact same hill with the exact same rider and conditions. Contact me if interested in taking the challenge! ***
*** NB: Route was chosen not only because it is fairly step but also it gives a sense of just hoe step 7.2% is. First 7.2% slope notice the brickwork and blue painted steps of the buildings to the left of camera. Bricks and paint are horizontal - giving an idea of the "rise-over-run" of this slope ***
First contender is the Viron Motors - HB-ES1000A 1000watt eScooter [custom] *LITHIUM* [edition]
Results for the the Viron,
Hill #1 was successful
Startline: https://plus.codes/9C5VC28G+MWR
Finishline: https://plus.codes/9C5VC28H+XP5
Distance: 169m
Rise: 12.2m
Slope: 7.2%
Time: 58 seconds
Hill #2 was a fail
Startline: https://plus.codes/9C5VC29H+8JF
Finishline: https://plus.codes/9C5VC29H+JP8
Abort: https://plus.codes/9C5VC29H+CMC
Distance: 37.7m
Rise: 4.15m
Slope: 11.01%
Time: 21 seconds (until stall)
Custom *LITHIUM* battery is 36v 20Ah 5.69kg with BMS limitation of 40Amp continuous output. Fail was a stopped motor, no complete loss of power, just stopping under power on the hill. Battery, BMS, controller, or motor displayed any signs of heat or smoke. Upon the fail, power was disengaged, rider dismounted, scooter turned around down hill, and we just powered off again. No obvious damage.
eScooter undertook this test with the seat and seat-post removed, without any additional lighting or other electrical accessory installed.
