We'll then look at the adduser utility, which is unique to Debian, Ubuntu, and anything that's derived from them.
I hope that you enjoy this basic Linux tutorial for Linux beginners. Remember, if you want to become a good Linux systems administrator, you want to become good at the Linux command prompt.

Identity Management is the art of centrally managing user accounts on an operating system. Linux identity management used to be problematic, because the old systems, such as Network Information Services and LDAP, were either seriously lacking in security or just hard to use. FreeIPA takes LDAP, Kerberos, Network Time Protocol, and the Domain Name Service, and combines them into an easy-to-use package. It can even be used to create cross-domain trusts with Windows Active Directory domains. FreeIPA is available for Red Hat Enterprise Linux, CentOS Linux, and Fedora Linux. Really, it should be in the repositories of any RHEL type Linux distro.

In this Linux tutorial for beginners, we'll look at two Linux tools for viewing Linux system information. We'll use the Linux lspci command to view information about what you have connected to the pci bus, and the Linux lsusb command to view information about what you have connected to the USB bus.
Note that these two Linux commands generally show up on entry-level Linux certification exams, so you'll want to know about them for both real life and for passing your exam.
