This video is about creating Marbled Papers. How to make small ATC Size marbled papers, how to reproduce and store them. Making small marble papers is a very economic means to learn the skill. In this video I used carrageenan sizing ( the liquid ) to float acrylic paint on. You create a pattern in the floating paint and lay your paper on top of the liquid. Lightly wipe off the excess liquid and dry. I used a glue stick to adhere the small papers to a manila folder. After going to print store I then I used to same folder as the originals to store my copies. These small marbled paper are great to use as ATC s (artist trading cards), in journals, card making and mixed media projects just to mention a few. This video was created using Gimp and Kdenlive video editor.

The faux postage stamps in this video were created either hand drawings that were scanned and reworked or they are one hundred percent digital creations. The purpose of Fake Postage Stamps is for use on collage papers and to create digital mail art. My introduction to mail art came back in the 1960s when I was in high school. We sometime created very fancy decorated envelopes to send letters. My infatuation with mail art reached a peak about nine years ago when I occasionally gave classes on creating ATC ( artist trading cards ). Mail art images are a perfect size for ATCs. I drew a set of fifty-two images. Most were, faux postage stamps but some were the other rubber stamps that might be found in the post office. Images like FRAGILE - HANDLE WITH CARE - MEDIA AIR MAIL etc. I also had postoids made for different countries. I created United States, German, Canadian, and Mexican faux stamps. I laid all the images out and cleaned them up with a computer and put on a PDF. That PDF was sent to a rubber stamp manufacture and I had an ten 8.5 x 11 red rubber stamp plates made. From those rubber plates I could cut the individual images out and stamp my mail art. It was funny I was like a kid when my stamps came in and I played with them stamping until about 4:00 am. The next day when I looked at my creations I realized I had made my first missprint. I used my new stamp set and was too tired. I had made a Faux Postage stamp that was the "Leaning Tower of France" ha ha ha It is in this video.

I am totally new at using krita for animation. Krita requires a frame created for each step of movement. It is in, my opinion, much more difficult than something like Synfig Studio. You can get much better results from Krita, but you pay the price in creation time.
I have used other programs, Synfig Studio, that tween images from one situation to another. Tweening is programmatically making the "in between" frames.
Tweening example: You place an overlay of a fish on the right side of the screen.
then place the fish on the left side of the screen. Then 'tell' the program move the fish from right to left, and take one second for the movement to be completed. Done ! Just like that.
All the frames are drawn by the computer.
