"Strollers" a term often use by Malaysians to describe a group of musicians performing without any amplification. They are mobile and not restricted to a particular location by cables, microphones, amplifiers and other gadgets.
This gives them the liberty to relocate from an area of a ballroom to another. They could even go table to table to serenade guest at an event.
This type of live bands are ideal for ambient music at the foyer of corporate events, product launches and even as the main entertainment for weddings, anniversaries, private parties, birthdays and more.

This two piece strollers provided light entertainment during this event held in the community home, Rawang on the 16th of July 2009. in Malaysia, the term "strollers" actually means a group of musicians singing and playing their instruments without any aid of amplification i.e microphones, amps etc.
Thus, they are mobile and have the freedom to move from one location to another during their performance in the venue to entertain guest. The group of strollers in this video consist of two musicians i.e the singer / guitarist and the saxophone player / back-up vocalist. A double bassist can be added to this combination to make the sound more complete.
Incidentally, the emcee for this function was our Malaysian pop artiste Ferhad.

This is a video report of our live music band performance in Johor Bahru on the 4th April and Kuching on the 5th April 2009. It's just a simple trio band setting with keyboards providing the accompaniment, combining with both traditional and modern solo instrument i.e the Er hu and Saxophone.
Nothing is sequence. The bass, drums and piano parts are all handled and perform live by the keyboard player(yours truly). The Er hu is basically an instrument from the chinese orchestra akin to the violin. But unlike the violin, it only has two strings hence less versatile. Nevertheless, it's still capable of speed depending on the dexterity of the performer.
