1465 . Paul Murphy - 'Sadness' , new vocal and guitar arrangement
A revamped arrangement of 'Sadness', which completely inverts the vocal, from the screaming-at-the-moon usual, to a more rueful palette. It doesn't quite come off, a second later take (video 1466) almost nails it.

I will pop the odd update on any videos I am able to make of the contents of those rediscovered lyric files.

Maybe a remake, maybe an evolution. For the 2, 3 years I played 'Honey' live, late 1990's, I always followed the G line vocally; here I tried to follow the melody of the A. It works when I was doing it subconsciously, but when I concentrated, I found myself like an overworked groundskeeper, caught between two pitches. I don't dislike it, but I'd like it better if I'd have hit all the right places. My wife said the same thing on the honeymoon.
