Prayer is opening yourself to God as you would to a friend. This is the true definition of prayer. Come to God and open yourself to Him and He would be more than willing to open up Himself to you through the Holy Spirit. Hosted on Acast. When God Speaks | By Pastor Bong Baylon | RLCC
1 The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of his hands. 2 Day after day they pour forth speech; night after night they reveal knowledge. 3 They have no speech, they use no words; no sound is heard from them. 4 Yet their voice[b] goes out into all the earth, their words to the ends of the world. In the heavens God has pitched a tent for the sun. 5 It is like a bridegroom coming out of his chamber, like a champion rejoicing to run his course. 6 It rises at one end of the heavens and makes its circuit to the other; nothing is deprived of its warmth. 7 The law of the Lord is perfect, refreshing the soul. The statutes of the Lord are trustworthy, making wise the simple. 8 The precepts of the Lord are right, giving joy to the heart. The commands of the Lord are radiant, giving light to the eyes. 9 The fear of the Lord is pure, enduring forever. The decrees of the Lord are firm, and all of them are righteous. 10 They are more precious than gold, than much pure gold;
they are sweeter than honey, than honey from the honeycomb. 11 By them your servant is warned; in keeping them there is great reward. 12 But who can discern their own errors? Forgive my hidden faults. 13 Keep your servant also from willful sins; may they not rule over me.
Then I will be blameless, innocent of great transgression. 14 May these words of my mouth and this meditation of my heart be pleasing in your sight, Lord, my Rock and my Redeemer.(Psalm 19:1-14)
Sometimes people feel frustrated because they can't hear God. They try so hard but it seems that God is silent. But is he? Often it is because we don't know how God speaks. God is always speaking to us but often we are unaware of it. So we go on our way without ever hearing God. We need to know how to listen to God by understanding how He communicates with us.

When something keeps on repeating and you notice a pattern, or when something is happening for a prolonged period, it may be an area of your life where God wants you to put off something or put on some new virtue or fruit of the Spirit that is still not part of your character. You need to pay attention and cooperate with God because that is where God wants to transform you.

14 I myself am convinced, my brothers and sisters, that you yourselves are full of goodness, filled with knowledge and competent to instruct one another. 15 Yet I have written you quite boldly on some points to remind you of them again, because of the grace God gave me 16 to be a minister of Christ Jesus to the Gentiles. He gave me the priestly duty of proclaiming the gospel of God, so that the Gentiles might become an offering acceptable to God, sanctified by the Holy Spirit. 17 Therefore I glory in Christ Jesus in my service to God. 18 I will not venture to speak of anything except what Christ has accomplished through me in leading the Gentiles to obey God by what I have said and done— 19 by the power of signs and wonders, through the power of the Spirit of God. So from Jerusalem all the way around to Illyricum, I have fully proclaimed the gospel of Christ. 20 It has always been my ambition to preach the gospel where Christ was not known, so that I would not be building on someone else’s foundation. 21 Rather, as it is written: “Those who were not told about him will see, and those who have not heard will understand.” (Romans 15:14-21)
Every Christian is called to some kind of ministry. Each of us is to serve the Lord according to the gifts that God has entrusted to us. Not serving in ministry is tantamount to rejecting God's will for us. It may take a while before we can find the right ministry for us, but we must begin where we are. More importantly, we must have the right perspectives in ministry. Serving the Lord is not as important as knowing why we are doing so in the first place.

Principles of True Worship | By Pastor Bong Baylon | RLCC
Date: Oct 28, 2022
Text: Psalm 50:1-23
Worship is central to our commitment as followers of Christ. But most of the time we see worship as merely an experience. Therefore, we judge it as excellent or boring, depending on the quality of the program. It is not focused on God. Instead, our focus is on ourselves, and how we feel while worshiping. We need to understand the principles of true worship.

What must we remember about true worship?
Three Principles
1. True worship is first of all an invitation from God (vv.1-6).
2. True worship is a thankful response to God's invitation (vv.7-15).
3. True worship is responding in obedience to God (vv.16-23).
Central Idea: “True worship is our thankful and obedient response to God.” (“Ang totoong pagsamba ay pagtugon natin sa Diyos nang may pasasalamat at pagsunod sa Kanya.”)

1 Blessed is the one
who does not walk in step with the wicked
or stand in the way that sinners take
or sit in the company of mockers,
2 but whose delight is in the law of the Lord,
and who meditates on his law day and night. (Psalm 1:1-2)
The path that we take determines the direction of our lives. Our direction is more important than our intentions. We must choose the right path so that we can be headed in the right direction. When we are headed in the right direction, and we persevere in it with patience and humility, we will reach the right destination by grace through faith.

Main Idea: “Train yourself to live a godly life.” (“Sanayin mo ang iyong sarili na mamuhay nang makaDiyos.”)
What is the right path?
Two Wise Decisions
1. Don't follow the path of the ungodly (v.1).
2. Follow the path of the godly (v.2).

Welcome to Day 1 of RLCC Daily Devo. The title of our devotional today is - "Fulfilling Your Roles and Responsibilities"
Scripture Passage: Genesis 12:10-20
Meditation: In Genesis 12:10-20, Abraham needed to learn how to be responsible toward Sarai, his wife. This is part of his preparation. Like Abraham, we need to consider the roles and responsibilities that we have in our lives today.
Personal Application: Today, reflect on the roles and responsibilities you have within your family, at work, or in your community. How can you honor God by being faithful and fruitful in these roles as part of your mission preparation?
Prayer: Lord, help me recognize the importance of fulfilling my current roles and responsibilities in preparation for my mission. Give me the strength and wisdom to be faithful and fruitful in all I do. In Jesus' name, amen.

Dealing with sin in the church can be challenging. It requires fostering a culture of grace, teaching biblical truths, promoting accountability, providing pastoral guidance, and cultivating a culture of repentance. This ongoing process requires patience, love, and reliance on God’s guidance.
