This will likely be the last major update for my Half-Life VR series until some additional updates are made to the code. In this short episode, we test mod compatibility with a classic Sweet Half-Life. I chose this one since Cliffy had content ready to go for it. If you want to test this for yourself, copy the cl_dll folder in the mod directory of your choice plus the opengl32 and openvr dlls and change the start.bat to point to that mod folder rather than "vr". Resullts will vary.
Cliffy's animation sets were made with biceps in the skeleton and adapt incredibly well to the VR environment. To see more of his work, check out the links below:

At the end of the year 2019, we will take a look at the ThinkPad X61T. If you want a 4:3 tablet-style ThinkPad, this is essentially the last, best option available. While it might not be a heavyweight in the CPU area, there are a few mods that can be done to breathe some new life into this unit.

In this video, we will discuss some of the points to look out for when buying an older X220 Thinkpad. Most of these principles apply to other computers in the Thinkpad family as well. Expect to see more videos in this series.
If you have any questions about the X220 series, please ask them in the comments below. This machine will end up being a Linux machine.
I will have a separate video shortly showing how to test X220 batteries using Linux.
As of the publishing of this video, a decent asking price for these machines is $250-$350 CAD depending on condition and what is included.

Today I spend some time with the TicPods ANC from Mobvoi. Previously, my favourite wireless earbuds were the TicPods 2 Pro, but these might overthrow them.
Special thanks to Mobvoi for providing these for testing. In the spirit of 100% transparency, the TicPods ANC featured in this video was supplied by Mobvoi and not personally purchased. My goal is to objectively review this product and this is not a paid endorsement.

Today I take a quick look at a wireless charger. It does the job it set out to do and would probably be a great purchase for someone that has a full Apple ecosystem for their Smartphone. The fact it supports continuous charging puts it above some other chargers I've tried that shut off after 100%.
