Author Vlog | When You Decide to Change the Narrative of Your Manuscript
I've been working on this manuscript for a very long time. I originally wrote this piece twelve years ago. I put it away, for many years, only to play around with it for a while, from time to time. I've even considered changing the narrative from third person to first; but, never did. Now, I think I'm regretting not having done that. We'll see.
The vid I was watching, this morning, was from an author that I just recently discovered on Twitter; @Uniweb Productions, Check him out, as well as the author he was interviewing, @WB Welch. They were discussing her recent release, Blood Drops.
Hello friends!
It's been a hot minute since I've last posted. I'm getting back on the band-wagon. The last few months have been an absolute whirlwind. I've moved across town, been working on my next project (hopefully, to be released in March), and just trying to keep up with all the crazy that is my life. Lol!
Remember, WANDERLUSTED is available in eBook format at no charge until Saturday, March 2nd!

I know I said I'd have a vid up on Wednesday. Sorry. I've been busy with several things and videoing didn't make the cut. I've been working towards the finish line of my non-fiction book about the aging process, writing my draft of TARA, FORMING, and playing with Vellum. As well as uploaded a new cover for WANDERLUSTED! Oh, and I uploaded WANDERLUSTED through Vellum to Kindle. It's been a busy week.
What would you like to hear me talk about on Monday? Losing our voice as a writer, or finding nerve as a writer? You tell me in the comments.

Today's video is going to be a little different. I'm only putting it up on this channel because it is about what I've been going through; transitioning to gray hair. May not be a big deal to some. But to me, it has been huge. Think about it for a moment. If you're a woman and decided to allow your silver to grow out, how do you think your decision would be received by those closest to you? Or by those who follow you on social media? You may think that you wouldn't care what others would think. I thought that very thing. Until the negative comments kept coming. It chipped away at my confidence.
This is my fourth time attempting this transition. This time, I'm holding true and standing strong. Not only for me but for others who may be looking for the encouragement to do so, themselves.
I'm considering making a dedicated channel geared toward this journey. If you are interested in me doing so, please comment and let me know.

I've often asked myself if I'm crazy for doing this thing called writing. I probably am. But, it would be better than the alternative of not releasing the voices in my head onto paper. It's a challenge, living the writer's life. But, it's also quite rewarding; even if we don't see much financial gain in the process. It takes a lot from us to sit and type out a full-length story that we've heard play out in our heads. However, for most of us who write, we wouldn't have it any other way.

It's a wonderful thing to want to emulate other authors that we highly respect and that inspire us to be better writers. However, not at the price of losing our own distinctive voice and our authentic style.
Have you fallen into the trap of trying to be someone else in your writing endeavors?

I hope you all are doing well and are safe during this time of global challenge. I wanted to take a moment and share something that happened to me this morning as I walked among the weeds that permeated my backyard. I realized that there is always something beautiful to be found if we're willing to look for it. I hope you enjoy this little moment of musing.
If you'd like to hear more from me, please consider liking this video and subscribing to my channel.
Love and blessings,

I've tried this before, but always ended up just going back to talking about writing and sharing my thoughts. My life is not as exciting as it used to be when I was a fashion blogger. LOL!
Anyhoo, I hope you enjoy my attempt. If you do, please give me a thumbs up.
