Riot police face off with protesters for Jayland Walker in Akron, Ohio
Riot police deployed tear gas against protesters throughout late Sunday night in Akron, Ohio following the release of bodycam footage displaying the police shooting of Jayland Walker.
While most of the protesters - some of whom were armed - remained peaceful, some threw objects at officers including firecrackers and set a single dumpster on fire.
Organizers of local activism including the Walker family repeatedly emphasized their commitment to non-violence throughout Sunday.

WASHINGTON DC- Ward 8C ANC commissioner and Chairperson, Mary Cuthbert, assaulted a resident of Ward 8 on Monday night during a public meeting. While discussing the “Wheeler Renaissance Development” project, Karlene Armstead, a commissioner in Ward 8E, left the meeting in an attempt to disrupt quorum, so that a vote could not take place. As she left, one of her supporters, Joseph Johnson, got into a verbal altercation with Cuthbert about whether or not quorum was affected. As the verbal altercation continued, Commissioner Cuthbert said “I’m going to knock your little a** back where you belong you little motherf*****...Who you gon’ f*** with?” and then pushed Johnson.
DC Metro Police separated Cuthbert and Johnson. Following the scuffle, a DC Metro Police officer confirmed that Cuthbert will be receiving an arrest warrant for the assault that took place.
In an interview after the altercation, Cuthbert said she was “ready to kill his little a**.”

Anti-mask activist and actress Shiva Bagheri wore a cap reading "Make Men Lions Again" as protesters gathered outside Disney's headquarters in Burbank, California on Wednesday over the company's opposition to the Florida Parental Rights in Education bill, which has been branded the 'Don't Say Gay' bill by critics.
The protesters called for a boycott of Disney products and services and accused the company of "grooming" children for their opposition to the education bill.
Bagheri says corporations are "pushing this woke agenda on our children."

Today protestors gathered to speak out against mass deportation of undocumented immigrants. Gathering on Massachusetts Avenue, they chained together their legs and handcuffed their wrists together inside of hard piping, making it nearly impossible for them to be removed. When police arrived and established a parimeter, they began sawing into the piping and cutting all of the chains to make their arrest. Although unconfirmed, it was told to News2share's Trey Yingst that about half of the protestors were undocumented themselves.
