Rare GAL! 1966 Westbrook Traction Elevator at History Museum of Catawba County (Newton, NC)
This is at a courthouse built 1924 turned into a Museum. This elevator is not original, being added on in 1966. Judging by the outside, I knew this had GAL fixtures, but I had no idea it would have these rare GAL White Buttons! I don't think I've seen anything like it on YT! The White Buttons don't light up, which is a bit dissapointing, but it was really cool to see!
The elevator itself rides fine for the most part despite the excessive noise and the abrupt stops. Pretty epic elevator with an unexpected twist!

Just by looking at the exterior of this hotel, this didn't look like it would have an older elevator, but I was wrong.
Unfortunately, this Series 1 has a lot of jolting going on, meaning it's likely not getting maintained that good. Besides that, it's a Basic Newer Series 1. Also I didn't go to the 1st Floor since it's across from the main desk, and yeah, you know the rest.

While these look nice and fancy, they need to look at the jack as it bounces the elevator going up.

This is a pretty standard 3 Story Hydro with boRing fixtures. I definitely prefer the "Slap On" Style Traditionals than these stupid unappealing tall panel ones they started bringing out in the Mid 1970's.

I knew from previews these would be Gen2's, but I really wanted to see these elevators and the building despite being newer. These are really smooth riding elevators and the passenger elevators are really nice looking in terms of designs. I get the service car and a passenger car to ride in this video. Floors 4 and 5 are vacant and under construction during the filming of these back in Dec 2022.

As if one THICC elevator wasn't enough, here's another one. This is probably the least Dillards looking elevator out there.
Besides the huge Cab, this is a basic generic cab with Weird Looking Adam's Survivors Fixtures on the inside & Cool Cheveron Laterns and Basic Survivor Call Panels on the outside. Records state this is an Otis, but that seems inaccurate as well. It could be possible this is Otis, but the lack of a "Otis" branding and no sights of Otis stuff (from what I saw) leaves me to believe it's just a 3rd Party Install and they just mislabeled it, similar to the possibility of the 2002 MEI? being labeled as Schindler. Who knows?

Another one! But in the middle of the mall.
Now while this is a 1980's Traditional, it's not your typical Traditionally Boring. This is actually the "Slap On" style similar to most Older Traditionals from the 1970's. This doesn't have a lot going for it fixture-wise, but I like it for the nice brass designs and the scenic view.

Wow, this elevator is falling apart. I see this elevator being modded in a few years to be completely honest. Riding quality isn't much better either. People obviously love this elevator though for the fixtures, but is this elevator good? HELL NO! I was glad to see another Vector after 1 & 1/2 years of seeing my last Vector don't get me wrong, but this is not a good starting point.
NOTE: I said "it doesn't look in the worst condition" before I noticed the 1st floor lantern missing. lol

These now reign as the highest E411's I've been on, beating the one's at Avista by 1 Single Floor! Besides that, it's a typical NMB special. Judging by the replacement Dewhurst US100 Call Panels, Cavinder is more than likely maintaining these.

This Elevator gives me a strange vibe, and I don't know why. Besides the hilarious fail on the 1st Floor Call Panel and the somewhat dirty looking cab, I like this cab. It also has a solid motor too. Only thing it needs is a cab cleanup and restoration, and to fix that goofy Call Panel on the first floor.
