Like most people I have suffered from distractions time and time again. But as I’ve begun to explore the roots of distraction, I’ve come to the conclusion that it’s related to you false beliefs, and traumas I’ve carried from past experiences. I know the word trauma can come across as a trigger word to some people, however, I believe God actually wants us to experience freedom, especially in this area. The Bible says that we are more than conquerors in Christ Jesus, and that we are to trust him and lean not on your own understanding. Embracing this ideology often will lead us down a path that will call us far beyond our comfort zone. But I believe this is exactly where the Holy Spirit wants us to be. He is looking for his sons and daughters not to run away from the trial, but to run towards it. For it’s in the trial that we are perfected in Christ. Outside of Christ any type of gain that we experience comes with a sacrifice. Sacrifice of time with our families, our health, finances, etc. but in Christ, we must understand that he already paid the ultimate price on the cross. He not only conquered death, he conquered, shame, fear, poverty, every single sin, and short coming you and I could possibly imagine or come up with.
