1. Queen of the Planet. Planet Earth has a surface area of around 510 million square kilometers, only around 30% of the entire Earth's surface is land, and one-sixth of that land is legally owned by the Queen of England! 2. Iron Core. The Earth's Core is believed to be composed of two layers, the outer layer is believed to be liquid and the inner layer, solid, and both, although the exact percentages are unknown, are believed to be mainly composed of Iron and Nickel and about the same temperature as the surface of the sun, 5500 degrees centigrade! The internal heat that keeps Planet Earth warm and vibrant comes from a giant natural nuclear reactor within its core, king of like a massive nuclear power plant and we're all just sitting on top of it. 5. Mount Huashan, China This walkway is anchored into the side of Mount Huashan, just three boards wide it has no hand rails. It has an unknown number of steps where one set of boards overlaps another. Lion Rock, Sri Lanka In the 5th century a king built a fortified palace on top of the Sigiriya rock and also built the lion staircase to reach it. with 1200 very steep steps you'd have to have a very determined army to attack it. 7. The Niesen Railway, Switzerland Officially the longest flight of stairs in the world, it can only be climbed once a year during the "Niesen run" its only a two mile run but you'll climb 5,475ft! and 11,674 steps!
