a disc drive designed for single speed is run at double speed to allow multi-sampling and buffering.
due to poor machine tolerances, the clamper has enough slop to become slightly misaligned, causing a parasitic vibration which shakes the transport and causes data reed errors.
This was abandoned by it's owner after finding a plethora of issues that he did not want to address.
So now its mine.
Lets go over its failures and make repairs.
