Spider-Man: No Way Home is hitting theaters in less than a month now. The internet is impatient about seeing the third and final installement of the MCU's wallcrawler.
Although this movement is filled with passion and admiration, the behaviours that come from it are toxic and disrespectful to the team behind the movie but also to the art of cinema itself.
Join me in this video essay so we can politely discuss how why and when did our passionate movement became this cloud of missunderstanding!

Hello everyone and happy Halloween! Coraline is definetly one of my favourite movies and the original Coraline book, written by Neil Gaiman stands on my favourite books list.
In 2009 i was blown away by this movie, but what if came out only 3 little years after.
In 2012, juste after the release of The Avengers, everyone wanted more of this universe, and most importantly, every studio wanted their own cinematic universe.
So tell me, do you think Coraline would have held up, or was the audiance aleready to pass on the cinematic universe format?

There are multiple types of fusion, and that's why in Fusion Factory I will be presenting to you fusions that i realised of charcters in pop culture. There are multiple types of fusions and the goals of these videos are to analyse and understand them trought analysis of the visual language, the formal approach and the iconographic approach.
Fusion Factory Playlist: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLt5WpG9D2R8ShUbM26OC7JpW-7n-kfEBc
All types of fusions:
ReSkin: The act of putting one character's skin over another one's body. It generaly works better when the character's skin is made of a specific texture that you would not see in real life, like lava, ice or rock for exemple.
Frankenfusion: The act of attaching almost or completly intact body part from each characters to ona another to immitate the process of the Frankenstein monster. This specific style puts fusion and attachement over fonctionality and aestetic.
Hybrid: The art of being able to compare the characters and merge them to create a fully fonctional creature which arbors the strong visual points of all the fusion materials.
Foster Fusion: Being able to recognize the general theme in your characters and exploit them to create a fully fonctional new one. This peculiar style will give birth to a fusion that looks like it could be it's own character design from scratch.
Evocation; Once again creating a new crwature but this evoking your fusion materials trought patterns, texture and colors in addition to the themes (like in foster fusion). This peculiar style requires a lot of efficiency while using the visual language.
Parasyte: A creature that will always look non-fonctional. This is when you take the parts of a character and make it act as a parasyte overtaking trhe body of the other one. This style requires you to shatter your characters and not be afraid of damaging their designs beyond repair.
Frame Fusion: The fonctional equivalent of frankenfusion, frame is when you use the body of one character as a blank cnaevas and the body of the other one as paint and additions, but one character must be recognizable trought silhouette and the other one trought clearly defined body parts.
These fusions are inspired by @The Ink Tank without who i would never had the guts to get in this territory!
