Join Doug at 6:45 pm EST (Saturday, September 3, 2022) for another livestream podcast where he will discuss how quite a number of Seventh Day Sabbath keepers are adopting a sunup to sundown version that no longer begins the evening before. Depending on the time of year and your location, these way of observing the day could mean an observance in which the amount of time spent at rest could swing wildly. Imagine being in Maine or even Canada in the winter where the daylight hours could be as little as nine! Or what about the summer where it could be as much as 14 or 15? But this is really beside the point, God's Word is very plain about when a day begins and ends (at sundown) and how his Sabbaths should be observed. This deviation to sunup (could it be because worship of the sun is the root of all paganism) completely changes the 24 hour nature of day and the intended purpose of the Sabbath, a full 24 hours of rest. Don't let yourself get robbed of Sabbath joy and even more so don't fall into the trap of breaking God's Commandments due to an extremely false doctrine creeping into the Church.
