Ride on RTC Quebec 1504 (2015 Nova Bus LFS HEV - Jan. 2, 2016)
Here is 1504 on route 21 Gare Fluviale of Réseau de transport de la Capitale, the transit system of Quebec City. This is one of 31 new hybrid buses for 2015 and is part of a collective order of more than 400 hybrid buses for nine Quebec transit agencies ordered by Association du transport urbain du Québec (ATUQ).
The Series-E technology enables the engine to stop and start when the bus is stopped or moving slowly, enabling it to run on fully electric mode for short periods of time (also known as stop-and-go). The engine stopping can be heard around 10:49 and restart several seconds later.
RTC's new hybrids has several features unique to them and are not seen in other Quebec agencies, such as frameless windows, full air conditioning, and raised front roof.
Sorry for the shaking, it's only my second time using the camera and I had no idea that it will shake that much, and the lens is pretty large too.
