Not only did they, uh, get made to be fools during President Biden's State of the Union address, but they also held a series of hearings that did not go the way that they thought they would. In that particular instance, I do remember hearing that we had received a request from the White House to make sure that we evaluated this tweet and that they wanted it to come down because it was a derogatory statement directly towards The President. They wanted it to come down. They made that request. To my recollection, yes, I thought that was an inappropriate action by a government official, let alone the White House. But it wasn't Joe Biden about his son's laptop, it was Donald Trump because he didn't like what Chrissy Tegan had to say about him. Is that correct? Yes, that is correct. My, my I um, you ever think it's appropriate for the President of the United States to direct or otherwise influence a social media company to take down it's content? I think it's a very slippery slope. Mr. Roth, Ms. Gaddy, Mr. Baker, any evidence that Joe Biden's ever done that? Certainly none that I'm aware of. No, I don't recall anything like that. I'm sorry, the, that President Biden did what, sir, has Joe Biden ever called Twitter to your knowledge or his White House at his best to take down content or urge you to take down content? I don't know the answer to that question, sir. Well, I, I'm gonna have to conclude at least from three of the four. You don't know. There's no evidence he's ever done that. But there's plenty of evidence. Donald J. Trump tried to do that. And, um, if we're gonna have a hearing about the misuse of social media and the intrusion of government in the content on social media, we've got an environment rich target. But it's not Joe Biden. It's Donald J. Trump. And of course, we don't want to talk about that. We don't want to talk. Republicans might be getting cold feet about impeaching President Biden. According to a warning from former Republican governor of Arkansas Mike Huckabee, going forward with the impeachment could actually backfire and end up being a "political disaster" for the Republican Party. Granted, they're not a part of Congress, but there are some Republicans that are suddenly starting to rethink this whole Let's impeach President Biden thing. One of those people happens to be former Republican governor of Arkansas, Mike Huckabee, who said in an interview this week, because for some reason he's worthy of being interviewed by any outlet, but he said that going forth with an impeachment of President Biden would be a political disaster for the Republican party. Now, I'm gonna read you what he said. He said, there's no point, and it all becomes a political disaster, but not for the reason. You may think, right? Mike Huckabee does not think it's going to be a political disaster for the Republicans because they have no reason to impeach him. Mike Huckabee says it becomes a political disaster because Democrats control the Senate. And even if they didn't, you still don't have enough to go get a conviction. So no matter what you impeach him in the house, you are not going to remove him from office in the Senate. So it all becomes, what's the point? So Huckabee says, quote, until that happens, the best thing Republicans can do is keep dribbling out the information of Joe's ties to the Communist Chinese party and business deals. But a but focus on a message that gets us elected and reminding people how much better off they were when Donald Trump was president than they have been since Joe Biden has taken the reins. I hadn't read that last part, so it took me as a surprise, uh, how much better off you were when Donald Trump was president. Yes. Remember when you couldn't buy toilet paper because it didn't exist anymore in this country? Don't you miss those days of not being able to clean yourself? Don't you miss those days of, you know, not finding hand sanitizer? Don't you miss those days of unrepentant trade wars and tough talk about building a wall and all the scams and fraud that came along with that. Like, don't you miss that folks? You'd have to be an idiot to miss any of that, and that's probably why Mike Huckabee apparently does miss all of that. Uh, here's the thing. Mike Huckabee was, was almost correct with his whole, this would be a political disaster because we can't remove him from office. If you just shut up after you said it'd be a political disaster, you'd have been right. But then you went on and you're like, we gotta talk about his ties to the Chinese Communist Party.
