In 1965, he served on the Planetary Quarantine Advisory Panel commissioned by NASA, then chaired a NASA-sponsored committee recommending experiments for the Biosatellite, was principal investigator on a NASA-sponsored Return Mars Sample study, was a co-investigator on Mariner 9, and was a member of the NASA-sponsored Mars Oxidant Experiment on the ill-fated 1996 Russian mission to Mars. However, it is on his 10-year stint as Experimenter of the Labeled Release life-detection experiment aboard the 1976 Viking Mission to Mars that he makes his claim for having detected microbial life on that planet. In other projects for NASA, Levin's team developed and instrumented life-detection experiments based on photosynthesis, metabolic uptake of essential elements, and the detection of ATP by the firefly bioluminescent assay. Chairman of the Board of Spherix Inc., which he founded in 1967, Levin directed the company's R&D programs with emphasis on innovative bio-technical processes and products. His inventions include wastewater treatment processes, rapid methods for microbial detection and identification, low-calorie sweeteners, and pharmaceutical drugs. He has published more than 120 papers in scientific journals, and he has received over 50 patents. Levin is currently an Adjunct Professor at Arizona State University and an Honorary Professor of Astrobiology at the University of Buckingham (UK). He has B.E. (1947), M.S. (1948), and Ph.D. (1963) degrees in civil and environmental engineering, with minors in public health and chemistry, all from The Johns Hopkins University. He served as public health engineer for the states of Maryland, California, and the District of Columbia before founding Spherix. He has been a trustee of The Johns Hopkins University, is a member of its National Advisory Council for its Whiting School of Engineering, and served on the National Advisory Council of the Hopkins Sheridan Libraries. His awards include the NASA Public Service Award, the Newcomb-Cleveland Award of the AAAS, and the Whiting Medal from Johns Hopkins, where he was also given Distinguished Alumnus status. With memberships in the Sigma Xi, various professional societies, and the Cosmos Club, he is listed in "American Men and Women of Science," and in "Who's Who in America." You still may have to crank up your sound a bit. The original sound definitely adds impact and credibility to this footage. Ben Matine Bigfoot Documentary Taken from a true story, Bigfoot Documentary, the story of Ben Matine 2006. On Oct 06 2006 Ben Matine was running from a trumped-up and false charge. Rumors from a small town bar that Local OPP were going to arrest him, He Fled. He ran North on the old CN rails from North Bay Ontario and ended up in Temagami Ontario. At a hunt camp and old set of deep mine shafts, he arranged to meet friend, Jim Jardineau for some supplies. During the meeting as Jim was returning with bens supplies, he was struck by a standing figure that was not present before. Jardineau snapped 4 high-resolution photos of the figure standing at the bottom of a tree root. 2 pictures at a distance, the 3rd blurred from zooming, but his 4th picture was extremely revealing, giving a clear accurate view of what he was seeing. Ben had no idea what was happening until Jim told him to turn around slowly, pick up Jim's video camera, and shoot. Ben shot 2:34​ sec. of HDV video. While video taping the large grey-black figure was constantly looking to the left of Ben, Indicating communication with something else they could not see. Terrified both men backed off of the scene immediately. Only Jim Jardineau and Aubre' Whitefoot have returned to the site for pictures for the documentary crew. Ben Matine stayed 2 days in the town of Temagami and later went back into the site. He vanished for 6 months. Matine turned up in Mattice Ontario and later in Detour Lake / 652 highway / North of Cochrane. The pictures were transferred to Jardineau's home computer but the video was not. Its tape was left in the camera. Jardineau agreed to meet an MNR Rep. in Tilden Lake Ontario and present the Pictures and Video Assured that everything was in good hands the rep took Jim's Info and left, promising contact, that was the last time he would see his video, it was not returned and no contact was made. Rumors have called the pictures Fake or its a man in a Gillies suit, and not 1 sasquatch or bigfoot organization has ever made contact after photos have been sent. The only organized groups to make contact were governmental. leaked photos and contrived stories to internet forums by volunteer students on August 08 have also misconstrued the truth about this story. The 4 pictures are absolutely real, not fake, not a man in a suit,/ IMPOSSIBLE and it will be proven so. When the figure walked it favored its left arm as though broken and walks like an elderly man. It has a yellow and silver top fading through red-brown to grey and black.
