On a recent train trip from Moscow to St Petersburg I composed a rendition of, 'April Come She Will' originally a music success for the duo Simon and Garfunkel. Feel free to share and use as you like. It's public domain:)
In this video Mr Robert Pembroke offers a rendition of the song, America' by the pop duo Simon and Garfunkel with slight variations in pitch, tonality and shift.
Here's a version of the opera tune, 'Con te Partiro' composed by Mr Francesco Sartori, Frank Petersen and Lucio Quarantotto, nota bene., e molto anziotto (1995) in verismo style of Mr Giacomo Puccini.
I'm an open book. Any comments are welcome:)
In this video Mr Robert Pembroke offered a simple design solution in woodwork for connecting a laptop computer to a 27 inch monitor.
It is a principle of design. It's really up to you if you decide to follow the sizes that he uses in the design of the computer pedestal.
If you decide to make a pc monitor pedestal for your laptop computer then be aware that your requirements for the plugs may vary the sizes that you require in terms of length and breadth of design in the wood work project he demonstrated:)
In this video Mr Robert Pembroke reworked the classic tune, 'Circle' by Mr Harry Chapin (1942-1981) via the use of transliterations that obliquely rotate in meaning away from the original hit 'Circle' from 'Sniper and Other Love Songs' (1972). It is a contentious method of composition appropriation because it challenges our views about originality and the nature of intellectual property within Civil Law. For example, when is a song deemed to be original rather than appropriated? Is novelty possible?
In this video Mr Robert Pembroke described a method for the collation and reporting of information relating to the Queen of the Night (Epiphyllum Oxypetalum) cactus flower of the Americas as it relates to the nature of botany and ethnic folklore in Brisbane, Australia.
You will see that the plant grows quite well in Australia.
In addition, I offer the viewer a proven method of record keeping in relation to the discipline of Ethno-Botany for both amateur and the professional scientist. It is a standard method of reporting with the new media that relies on aspects of traditional plant description.
Have a go at reporting and collating the plant information in your garden and see if you can improve on the method of reporting and presentation. There is certainly a lot of scope for improvement of the collection of data and representation in an edited video format. I am not offering the panacea here in this video;)
Nota Bene., This reporting method forms an underlying grammar of reporting that is also present in other disciplines as well.
Cheers:)
In this video I display my back garden with an arrangement of Agave Augustifolia. It is a lovely decorative arrangement. I also relate the plant to the movie, 'The Day of the Triffids' and the relationship of the movie/novel to the tune, 'Science Fiction' in the Rocky Horror Picture Show. I sing that song at the end of this video.
Here's a reworking of the song, "You've got a Friend" that I sing for you. It was originally sung by Carol King and James Taylor and it won a Grammy for best song. I really like this song. I hope you do as well:)
