Die Entstehung eines Buch-Charakters, eines Protagonisten, einer fiktiven Gestalt kann unterschiedliche Wege nehmen. Manchmal ist dies ein rein intuitiver Prozess, an dessen Beginn keine Klarheit darüber besteht, wie das Ergebnis aussehen wird. Denn häufig besitzt eine literarische Gestalt ohnehin "archetypisch" anmutende Eigenschaften, die relativ schnell die Ausrichtung des Charakters deutlich machen. In diesem Sinne entspricht GELLEN AGRESSIN jener Kategorie, die man im Englischen als den "RELUCTANT HERO" bezeichnet - der widerwillige Held.

[MEILENSTEIN] Es gab damals viele progressive Bands (Yes, ELP, oder Pink Floyd), die nicht widerstehen konnten, mit Orchestern zu arbeiten. Besonders gut sind die Resultate hierbei nicht. Bei The Alan Parsons Project funktionieren Klassik-Elemente hingegen sehr gut. Die Orchester-Passagen sind motiviert und ein integraler Teil der Komposition. Das ist nicht zuletzt ein Verdienst von Andrew Powell, der die Geheimwaffe des Power-Duos Parsons/Woolfson war.
