Can you tell me about people in your life who helped you grow?

I had the privilege of having a strong father in the house hold. I shaped a lot of what y spiritual views and work ethic. Those are sort of things that you need to establish earlier in life.
He would work 80 hours a week. He would work a day job and would work at night. He has since become a successful physician. I do remember those days when he would come home completely exhausted. I remember he was doing what was right for his family.

Growing up in Highschool I had a mock trial coach. My coach was a local lawyer at the time and now he is Judge Jeff Atherton.

He was incredible influential in exposing me to the law and showing me that the law is this sacred thing to pursue. It is noble calling. It is a blessing and a privileg. I was surrounded by people with high morals. He taught me a love for legal procedures and attention to detail.

I also had a couple of professors in college who taught me how to think. How to engage in rational discourse wich is lacking in American society. They taught me how to write, and work and study hard.

I don’t talk to them on a daily basis, but their integrity and willingness to listen to my questions etc was deeply touching to me. Their thoughts are in my mind daily.

What should young people look for in mentors?

Is not about the skill and what they have done in life, but is more about who they are. You want someone who is willing to teach you and actually takes interest in what you are doing.

Don’t pick a mentor who has ethical problems.

Clients told us over and over again that they were tempted to form their companies at do-it-yourself websites, but they really wanted a lawyer to help them cut through all the choices, make sure they were doing it right, and take care of the paperwork for them.

They told us they wanted a way to combine the convenience of online business formation with the personal service of their own lawyer – a
