Obsessive-compulsive disorder is an anxiety disorder, defined as the presence of an obsession (an irrational thought or idea that continually repeats) or a compulsion (an irrational behavior performed repeatedly).
These behaviors can occur together or on their own, and interfere with a person's quality of life and ability to function.
In this video, Dr. Adam Jones discusses the presentation and prevalence of the obsessive-compulsive disorder.
It presents in late adolescence or early adulthood.
Its prevalence is equal in males and females. It is often chronic and hard to treat.
The main characteristics of this disorder are obsessions and compulsions. The patient recognizes that these behaviors are irrational.
In the full video, Dr. Adam Jones also explains obsessive-compulsive disorder DSM-5 diagnosis and the causes of this disorder.
Dr. Adam Jones briefly describes the treatment approaches to obsessive-compulsive disorder, which include psychotherapy and medication, including SSRI.
The following topics have discussed:
* Obsessions and compulsions
* History of obsessive-compulsive disorder
* Causes of obsessive-compulsive disorder
* Obsessive-compulsive disorder DSM-5 diagnosis

Daily Mini Been is here!
?Have you recently managed a patient with pericardial effusion?
?How were the heart sounds?
?Were you able to find the cardiac pulse on the point of maximal impulse?
Pericardial effusion without cardiac tamponade causes the heart to look globular or water bottle shaped on a chest x-ray.
Physical examination will reveal distant heart sounds. It's also difficult to palpate the cardiac pulse at the cardiac apex. This point is called the point of maximal impulse. (Mid-clavicular line, fifth intercostal space.)

For the first time researchers have found out the antibody threshold levels that are protective. This knowledge is crucial for vaccine development, monoclonal antibodies titers, for the convalescent plasma therapies.
Let’s look at the study.

What are inhibitors?
https://www.feiba.com/us/patient/hemophilia-inhibitors
For example factors VIII or IX clotting factors for hemophilia
Are patients with blood disorders at a higher risk?
Some patients with hemophilia may develop inhibitors and doctors may prescribe them immunosuppressants. These are medicines that suppress the immune system. They may, therefore, make patients more susceptible to infections including SARS-CoV-2.
