Untitled Goose Game is adding another horrible goose to its repertoire. Developer House House announced today that it will release a local two-player co-op mode as a free update on September 23rd.
The rules of Untitled Goose Game are simple: you, a cute and terrible goose, honk at innocent villagers, steal their things, and generally make life miserable. It’s a puzzle game built around inciting havoc, and with a friend, that job may be easier than ever. Co-op will be available on all platforms; additionally, the game is coming to Steam and Itch.
House House has also teamed up with iam8bit and Panic Inc to release physical copies of the formerly digital-only game, in addition to a vinyl version of its soundtrack. Both will be released on September 29th, with preorders open now.
Since 2018 Monster Hunter: World and its subsequent expansion via Iceborne has seen regular updates with new monsters and content. The last of these is now on its way in just a little over a month and will act as the grande finale of major updates. The biggest reveal for this update is the return and introduction of a brand new monster to the title, Fatalis. This elder dragon first appeared in the original Monster Hunter title and is one of the major flagship elder dragons of the series. Now players can take it on in its original roost with a brand new coat of paint. In addition to this a new holiday event, armor sets and abilities were introduced that allow players to have even more to do in coming months.

Overcooked 2 players are getting more free content today in the form of the Moon Harvest update. Team17 and Ghost Town Games are launching the update to mark the beginning of the Mid-Autumn Festival. This is is an annual event celebrated in many east-Asian countries and now everyone else can join in the fun too.
The Moon Harvest update adds three varieties of mooncakes, the traditional dessert of the festival, for the virtual chefs to to serve up, as well as five new levels to conquer. The update also adds lily pads which will quickly sink after they’re stepped on. Overcooked 2 has always been about managing kitchen chaos and it seems there are still new kinds of disarray to bring into the already crazy kitchens.
Overcooked 2 is available now on PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch.
The Popemobile is a decent enough car, if all you want to do is sit and wave. The Pope sits in back, frequently in a bulletproof glass housing, just a passenger on display for the faithful to gaze in loving awe at. It’s practical, sure, and has a certain utilitarian creativity in its design, but maybe it could be improved. A few modifications here and there, raise the body, replace the tires, toss in some Advent purple highlights, and now you’ve got a ride. Admitted, it might be a little hard to wave to the faithful from the new cockpit, but but it’s guaranteed to inspire an entirely different kind of awe even so. Still, it’s not the kind of thing you can ride around in every day, but with Serious Sam 4 being a flashback to the start of Mental’s invasion of Earth, the popemobile is just the thing for Sam Stone to borrow.
While there hasn’t been too much shown off that we couldn’t already guess about Serious Sam 4, the pending September 24 release means it’s time to start talking about more than the obvious. We already knew there would be lots of enemies, and the promise of giant maps with hundreds or even thousands of combatants has been mentioned but barely glimpsed, so today’s trailer is a nice peek beyond the “Serious Sam but more” that we’ve gotten so far. The Popemobile is a beast of a ride, and the new trailer shows off at least one boss that will give it a run for its money. On top of that there’s a nice giant battle at the end of the trailer with a massive glowing portal in the distance that seems like an obvious goal. The army between Sam and the portal might normally be a problem, but riding a fully tricked-out Popemobile should even the odds nicely.

Given their resume that features the likes of Bastion, Transistor, and Pyre, a new game from Supergiant is always a cause for celebration. And their latest title, an isometric roguelike dungeon crawler called Hades, was indeed released in Early Access almost two years ago to much praise. But Early Access is just a taste, and while an animated launch trailer was shown last month that said it would arrive this Fall – with a Switch version coming as well – we were still waiting for an official release date. Well, surprise! As of today, Hades has now officially left Early Access with the full journey now available, complete with its Switch version.
Should you need a refresher on Hades, though, Supergiant has you covered with a gameplay showcase for Version 1.0, which you can check out below. The repeated attempts to climb out of Hades by the Prince of the Underworld will see you gaining the powers of the Olympians, wielding a large variety of weapons, using alternate fighting styles, your own combos, and more, all in some lightning-fast combat. In between all of that, you can chat with gods and befriend fallen heroes, explore various story threads, or even just renovate the hub area. All decorated with amazing hand-painted artwork and a killer soundtrack, per the norm for Supergiant. Hades is now available on PC and Switch, and should – pardon the possible pun – be a hell of a time.
