This is just a test run for my newly discovered smoke bomb abuse strat. This strat would be super useful for greatsword as well. A few things to consider for anyone who wants to abuse this strat: 1. There's a "CD" to this trick. I think he could not enter another "search mode" for about 30 seconds or so if you just blinded him. 2. This is especially useful in 3rd phase where he hits super hard. If you smoke bomb just after he did his huge flame attack and had just landed. He will 100% stand there doing nothing for 8 seconds. You can either get some damage in or re-tenderize him. For anyone who wants to replicate this strat, check out my demonstration video. 3. You have to smoke bomb before the next attack animation begins, otherwise, he'll just keep attacking. 4. This can be heavily abused in scripted speedruns to plan out the head break or instantly trigger the next phase. For example, at the start of the 2nd phase, use the ballista to deal a lot of damage in smoke bomb. Bind him when ammo runs out. Smoke bomb when bind is over.
