Mahalaga ang small group. Ngunit higit na mas mahalaga ang mga tagapamuno nito. Kailangan mahusay at tapat ang mga leaders ng small group. Sino ba ang qualified na maging mga leader ng small group?

Suffering can be a challenging experience, particularly when we are aware that we are simply carrying out God's will or bearing witness to Christ. Frequently, our attention is fixated on the pain we endure instead of recognizing the potential that the situation presents. It is crucial to view suffering as an opportunity rather than a catastrophe.

The failure of relationships is mainly because of the nature of those who are in those relationships. In other words, the problem is you and me. The road to forever is froth with all kinds of dangers because it involves people. Without God's help, relationships will fail eventually. Whenever relationships do succeed, it is simply because of God's grace and mercy. But, even if we are good people (i.e., with good intentions and good character), there are other enemies of relationships that can undermine our sincere efforts to make our relationships work.

The Necessity of Prayer | By Pastor Bong Baylon | RLCC
30 I urge you, brothers and sisters, by our Lord Jesus Christ and by the love of the Spirit, to join me in my struggle by praying to God for me. 31 Pray that I may be kept safe from the unbelievers in Judea and that the contribution I take to Jerusalem may be favorably received by the Lord’s people there, 32 so that I may come to you with joy, by God’s will, and in your company be refreshed. 33 The God of peace be with you all. Amen. (Romans 15:30-33)
Often prayer is left out in the church because we have to come to the conclusion that we only need strategic planning, execution, and hard work to succeed in ministry. This is a tragic mistake. Although there is a place for such activities, they are not the main means to fulfill God's purpose in and through the church. Prayer is still the main and vital means of grace for accomplishing the will of God.

It's important to understand what true conversion means. It will help us to guide others as they begin their Christian lives. It's also helpful for us, as we evaluate our own journey of faith.

Day 2: Trusting in God's Provisions
Scripture: Genesis 22:1-19
Today, we delve into the story of Abraham's faith as he was asked to sacrifice his son, Isaac. It's a profound test of his trust in God's provisions. Sometimes, God asks us to trust in His plan, even when it challenges our expectations. In your life, where do you need to trust in God's provision? How can you align your expectations with His divine plan? In prayer, seek the strength to rely on God's perfect provisions in all areas of your life.

We need to discern when evil is at work in our lives or in the lives of others. There are signs or indicators when this is happening. We must open our eyes and reject evil as soon as we see these signs.

38 As Jesus and his disciples were on their way, he came to a village where a woman named Martha opened her home to him. 39 She had a sister called Mary, who sat at the Lord’s feet listening to what he said. 40 But Martha was distracted by all the preparations that had to be made. She came to him and asked, “Lord, don’t you care that my sister has left me to do the work by myself? Tell her to help me!” 41 “Martha, Martha,” the Lord answered, “you are worried and upset about many things, 42 but few things are needed—or indeed only one. Mary has chosen what is better, and it will not be taken away from her.” (Luke 10:38-42)
As disciples of Jesus Christ, we must learn to strike the balance between action and contemplation. We must be active contemplatives or contemplatives in action. We cannot focus on one at the expense of the other. We must be active in ministry, but at the same time, we must not neglect our relationship with God. Also, we cannot spend all our time in contemplation without doing anything to serve the Lord in ministry. We must strike the proper balance.

Main Idea: “As disciples, we must be both active and contemplative.” (“Bilang mga disipulo, kailangan tayong maging aktibo at handang magnilay-nilay.”)
How do we strike the proper balance?
Three Reminders
1. Discern the best time for each.
2. Don't judge others who are doing what they want.
3. Do either one with the right attitude.

Our desires are important. But we must learn how to discern them.
