Succulent. Does the word make your mouth water?
It should. *Tender, juicy, tasty, moist, and luscious.*
Isn't it ironic that a plant grown in dry, desert-scapes, is called *succulent?*
Desert on the outside. ?️
Clarifying hydration on the inside. ?
I had a succulent day, yesterday, thanks to a remarkable 12-hour peyote journey.
Two friends made it possible -- Robert "Rattlesnake" Breedon, and another more discreet fellow who I'm sure would prefer to remain unnamed, so shall.
To you both, I give my heartiest thanks for the treasure that was yesterday! ?

Man, was I PUFFY!
"Quiero, en fin, tener la libertad de ser yo mismo."
"I want, in the end, to have the freedom to be myself."

侘寂 Wabi-Sabi. Not to be confused with wasabi, that spicy green horseradish.
Wabi-sabi is a Japanese philosophy and aesthetic that focuses on
THE ACCEPTANCE OF IMPERFECTION.
It celebrates what is weathered, worn or rusted.
With strength and clarity, my grandad lived to be 101.
So maybe that's why I've always gravitated toward this way of thinking.
I'm drawn to beauty that is imperfect, impermanent and incomplete,
because nothing is perfect, nothing lasts, and nothing is finished.
I loved this article (https://nobleharbor.com/tea/chado/WhatIsWabi-Sabi.htm) on wabi-sabi. And this one (http://www.utne.com/mind-and-body/wabi-sabi), too.
If you look into it, or give it some thought, let me know your ideas.
________
The flowers in the pool...
I first saw them as something to be cleaned. A flaw. Debris.
But then... I saw them as drifting clouds in a sky.
Flower clouds, in a water sky.
A shift of perspective, that brought delight.

I am curious.
I am safe.
I am open.
I am learning.
I am relaxed.
I am enjoying this.
I am healthy.
I am precise.
I am complete.
I am real.
I am generous.
I am brave.
I am plenty.
I am wise.
I am love.
I am new.
I am ready.
I am sovereign.
I am free.
I AM.

In episode 18 of "The Work of the Empath" podcast, you will learn how unacceptable outer conditions, CAN PROPEL YOU in the direction of your original dreams.
Focus on the lotus, not the swamp. ?

I am so glad I surrendered to silence.
I protect it with a vengeance, like a mama bear...
because when held long enough --
sweet, sacred silence --
The Song is heard.
The always-playing, ever-adaptive
Song of Sufficiency.
Source of Synchronicity.
You have to get to higher ground
to see the vista of higher choice.
And The Song that comes *after* silence,
lifts you there... every time.
S I L E N C E
I tend and nurture it like a lover.
In turn, it tends and nurtures me like a lover.
It is hard, elusive, massively-assailed,
resisted, *unlikely...*
*** a n d a l s o ***
Silence is the seed, of *whatever* you need.

Gentle Beginnings
We're trained to fear quiet,
so fill all spaces with noise and "news" that deafens
the Real Rhythmic Reminder
that Life actually... literally...
PUMPS. THROUGH. YOU.
Knock! Knock!
*Who's there?*
L i f e ' s D r u m,
which is played as your heart!!
It's impossible to lose.
It's always in your service.
And each beat is love. ❤️

Come well! The jump cuts are only to spare you gaps where I was fumbling for my next word. But a few thinking gaps remain. As does my bra-strap! ??♀️
How do y'all DO this?! Talking to a camera is HARD. Big kudos to all who somehow muster the strength to do it regularly.
