A little life update, reflecting on my decision to stop drinking alcohol at age 24 as well as buying a more expensive mic the Shure KSM32 and my thoughts on it 1.5 years later. If you want to hear the KSM32 in action from my vocal booth look up the Croc Pot song Green Man on Spotify to hear it on N.A.Vvv's higher voice and Randy J Dreams much lower voice. According to a GearSpace rumour Nelly used the KSM32 on his hit song E.I. Speaking of rap mics, I heard that the album Paid in Full by Eric B. & Rakim was recorded on an Electro-Voice RE20. While I'm typing I should let producers know that my Lofi That Slap analog drumkit is out now. This is a collection of hard hitting one shots from an analog 808 clone the RD-8. I recorded the sounds into my computer and processed them so that they slapped at 90-100bpm. While the drum machine took care of the percussion I beefed up the kit with some chops from my personal secret stash to fill it out. The result is a rare westcoast drumkit that hits hard with distressed vintage drum machine textures.
