For those loveline fans during the peak of the show's popularity during the Adam Carolla / Dr. Drew era. These shows came from tape transfers and made into mp3 format. I did not record or transfer any of these shows, so when there's missing audio and the conversation suddenly ends in the middle of something interesting on occasion isn't my fault. Nothing I can do about it, either.
(0:00:00) 01. 2000-03-21: The guest is Dicky Barrett with the first 18 minutes or so being low quality, but the rest is HQ. Dicky is a solid guest and there's plenty of entertainment during calls as well.
**2000-03-22 missing.
(1:30:16) 02. 2000-03-23: This is a no guest show and has another Lightning Round at the end. The audio quality is subpar again with fluctuations throughout, but nothing that really affects listenability. The actual show content is great, though. This is an outstanding show with lots of dumb callers and funny content including the return of the farting caller. Lightning Round at the end is a good one.
(3:03:45) 03. 2000-03-26: This is a Drew solo show and I decided to leave this one in just to let you hear how these shows tend to be. Unfotunately, it is another show of subpar audio quality to match the show quality, but sounds as good as it's going to get unless a new source is found which is the case with all these shows. Of course, Drew is on his computer the whole time and just speeds through calls with a lack of comedic value that only Drew can provide! However, at times, it sounds more like the drdrew.com show. Adam is completely right about Drew and his computer and I personally don't like how he tries to make his website part of the show to this degree. You be the judge! There is a drop origin for Drew's "He's just a dick" drop, though.
(4:35:39) 04. 2000-03-27: The guest is Goldfinger and is a brand new addition to the archive and is the last appearance they would make before their haitus. Fortunately, this show sounds great with a Lightning Round at the end. Darrin and John are in from the band and they are, as always, great guests. Lots of funny talk and of course some fart talk taking up most of a segment in the second half of the show.

(0:00:00) 01. 2003-02-12: The guest is Heidi Fleiss.
(1:31:22) 02. 2003-02-13: The guest is Gabe Fischbarg. I can't find a single picture of him, only his book.
(3:06:22) 03. 2003-02-16: This is a no guest show with "Gas station employees rant" as a supplementary title. Very fiery.

(0:00:00) 01. 2001-10-14: The guest is Lit. I should note that drummer Allen Shellenberger died in 2009 from an inoperable brain tumor just shy of his 40th birthday and about 15 months after the initial diagnosis.
(1:28:35) 02. 2001-10-15: The guests are Sharon & Ozzy Osbourne. Very interesting and entertaining
(2:54:55) 03. 2001-10-16: The guest is Smash Mouth.

(0:00:00) 01. 1997-09-23: The guest is Our Lady Peace and is a partial show of 55 minutes. The show seems to start a few minutes after the show begins and ends after a break, so it's not one of those sudden endings. Adam gets going on red turn arrows and the cops briefly and probably would have carried on longer if there were no guests. There's also a brief jag on Westwood Two and the condition of the studio of which the guys from Our Lady Peace say that it looks like a barn.
(0:55:13) 02. 1997-09-24: The guest is Olive and is another partial show of 83 minutes. Adam and Drew start arguing only a minute into the show like a married couple which is always amusing. An interesting call with a caller who has MPD and talks a little bit about how that works, but also a sad call because of how she got the disorder. The show ends abruptly, but just at the beginning of a new call so it's not as bad. Olive doesn't say much at all, but they laugh some so you at least know they're there sometimes.
(2:18:50) 03. 1997-09-25: The guest is The Cramps and is most likely their only appearance ever on the show. In the second half of the show, the guests are two amateur movie makers whose movie I can't find a trace of on Google nor the spelling of their last names, so it's Tony and Sal. Adam announces Drew Carey won't be coming on the show on the 28th because of his publicist and goes on a little rant about publicists.
(3:50:46) 04. 1997-09-30: The guest is Jessica Bowman and is an incomplete show of 83 minutes. It picks up 10-12 minutes into the show and goes to the end. Jessica is an OK guest and leaves halfway through. Adam talks about his recent dentist visit and his experience on nitrous.

(0:00:00) 01. 2002-06-09: This is a no guest show. Adam has an upcoming dentist appointment.
(1:34:12) 02. 2002-06-10: The guest is Ali Landry.
(3:09:44) 03. 2002-06-11: This is a no guest show with the supplementary title of "Adam's Root Canal & Pharmaceutical Gas" which can only mean good things to come.

(0:00:00) 01. 1999-06-01: The guest is Paula Trickey. She is a decent guest when she talks, but she's one of those guests that I find myself forgetting they're there or wondering when they left only to find out they're still there. Not a great guest overall, but still a solid show. She does talk, just not much during calls.
(1:35:46) 02. 1999-06-02: The guest is Robert Schimmel and has "Plane story" as a supplementary label, but is missing the end. Robert shows up for the second half of the show, so the first half is no guest. Robert is a solid guest while he's there, but doesn't contribute much during calls. You don't forget he's there and that's the important thing. The very end is missing. Overall solid show.
(3:10:30) 03. 1999-06-03: The guest is Motley Crue. The guys only stay for the first half of the show and are decent guests. In the second half of the show, Adam does a sort of Lightning Round prototype.
(4:41:10) 04. 1999-06-06: This is a no guest show. Decent show, but there's some horrible signal bleeding going on at one point. It's the worst I've heard with music or talking being heard in the background pretty clearly and I can only hope the song isn't picked up by Youtube when I upload this one. The song is "Natural One" and fortunately, the issue is resolved before the song is over. Overall solid show!
(6:16:12) 05. 1999-06-07: The guest is Pennywise with yet another incident with Fletcher. In the band pictures, Flethcer is the tallest, biggest guy with the most facial hair. It is an absolute must-listen and one of the most memorable shows ever done, but for all the wrong reasons. In summary, Fletcher gets really drunk and goes completely off the rails along with the show itself. Things got so bad that the cops had to be called, so this is the second time Fletcher from Pennywise created a huge scene on the show with the first being heard in clips in various shows (including this one) before Adam came to Loveline.
This was pulled off of a videotape recorded by the security camera in Engineer Mike's room which shows the whole thing. The video is black and white and not HD quality, but 1999 security camera quality. I am one of the few people that got this footage in digital format back in the mid-2000's when I was actively working in the (then underground) small group that was helping to date and otherwise build up this collection we are enjoying right now and only a few of those people got access to this content, but I'm sure many more people have a copy these days.
At the time, we were told not to share it for at least 10 years and I think we're at like 12 years now, but Engineer Mike was on Gio's podcast and apparently gave full permission to share it five years ago now. I will post it as part of the finale of "Best of.." shows after Adam's final show, but that's a long way away. The sad part is I still haven't watched more than a few minutes of it. I always got sidetracked or distracted by something and ended up packing it away with a couple hundred or so burned data DVDs. It's a full two hours! It's amazing that tape didn't leak much in all that time.
Anyway, back to the point...
In the second half when all the chaos is going on, one of Fletcher's F bombs flies out over the air in all it's glory. There's a point where there's so much going on in the studio that the mics got shut off leaving dead air which I cut about 10 seconds of silence out. Coming back from that break, the Lit bumper played for like 30 seconds before cutting directly into a Pennywise song and I shortened the bumper by about 20 seconds so Youtube doesn't tag the video with a copyright notice (it has happened before from long bumpers), then there's more silence after that song is finished and comes back to Adam yelling at Fletcher to stop cussing during a show that is completely derailed at this point.
It should be noted that no one associated with Loveline felt it necessary to press charges against Fletcher and no arrests were made.
A side note: This is the end of the Engineer Mike era as he begins training Anderson in future shows to take over for him full time. I don't know if it was because of what happened in this show or if this was something already in the making, but that's the deal. Mike is co-engineer for the next week or so of shows and the era of Engineer "The Liberace of Potentiometers" Anderson is about to begin. He just loves using those drops and in that respect, he is better than Engineer Mike IMO.

(0:00:00) 01. 2002-07-17: This is a no guest show and Drew is in DC.
(1:34:34) 02. 2002-07-18: This is a no guest show and Drew is in DC again. Show has "Stereotypes & Jeanette Lee" as a supplementary title. There are times where there are skips, but I'm guessing this show was pieced together from multiple segments off a CD or it just had a bad source recording. It's not bad, but it is noticable. The Jeanette Lee part is funny including an unintentional funny moment that breaks up the rant.
Since I usually mention these things, Lee was recently diagnosed with stage 4 terminal ovarian cancer. Even worse, she's only 49. One can only wonder if the late diagnosis was the result of not being able to get a screening or go to a doctor sooner due to all this covid stuff which is what we should all fully expect to see happen as the collateral damage of those restrictions mount up. It doesn't seem that she will live that much longer, but people have beaten this before and she's certainly a fighter.
(3:08:18) 03. 2002-07-21: The guest is Monty Messex and this show contains several rants. Monty and Adam are childhood friends, so Monty always makes for a fun show.

(0:00:00) 01. 2000-02-02: The guest is Matt Pinfield and is a brand new addition to the archive. This is a decent show and Matt is the typical average guest for the most part. Nothing spectacular or memorable, but it has it's moments.
(1:32:44) 02. 2000-02-03: The guests are Claude Brooks & Nicole Eggert and the end is missing. Adam spent the day at wrestling school getting his ass kicked. Claude is in for the first hour and Nicole in for the second. I at least think I have the right pictures for Claude, but only two. In the second half of the show, it is discovered that a caller has an eating disorder and Drew goes on to describe the cause as profoundly intrusive parenting and I always think how Drew's daughter Paulina had an eating disorder for a long time. Drew basically describes himself as a child abuser and doesn't know it at this time and I wonder if Drew ever looked at his (and Susans) parenting with the same critical eye. Somehow, I doubt it though. The guests are decent, but nothing spectacular. Nonetheless, this is still a solid show.
(3:05:56) 03. 2000-02-06: The guests are Laura Prepon, Wilmer Valderrama and Topher Grace and is taken from a Best of Loveline show. It is also a 25 minute partial.
(3:30:54) 04. 2000-02-07: The guest is Warren G with Dr. Bruce in for Drew. Warren G shows up late and comes in after the first break. Origin of Warren's "You need to go to the doctor....and get checked out" drop. He is a solid guest and gets involved in calls to a fair degree. Warren also gets a decent amount of calls including a rapper who claims to be putting an album out, but refuses to rap over the air and several other callers who do bust some raps resulting mostly in comedy. As is customary during Drew's absences, the Drew Boogie is played. Great overall show!

(0:00:00) 01. 2002-04-17: The guests are Donna D'Errico & Nikki Sixx. FUn show. Adam goes off on having to take off his underpants when he got hand surgery.
(1:34:30) 02. 2002-04-18: The guest is Wilmer Valderrama.
(3:09:20) 03. 2002-04-21: This is a no guest show. Drew immediately realizes Adam is drunk or high and he's right. A new loveline game is born: Veal or Venison? There's some serious hilarity here, great show!

(0:00:00) 01. 2001-05-10: The guests are Leo McSweeney and Tony Rosenbum from the short lived TV series Boot Camp. It was so short lived that there aren't good quality photos available of the drill sergeants. The only picture of all four of the drill instructors is pixelated, so.. it is what it is. This show is also a drop origin when they yell like drill sergeants. This is an entertaining show with lots of funny bits and the guys are involved with the calls on top of it. Great show.
(1:33:29) 02. 2001-05-13: The guest is Stabbing Westward. The band are decent guests.
**2001-05-14 (Shawnee Smith & Stryker subs for Adam) skipped.
**2001-05-15 (David Lascher & Stryker subs for Adam) skipped.
**2001-05-16 (The Living End & Stryker subs for Adam) skipped.
(3:00:23) 03. 2001-05-17: The guest is Howie Mandel who is subbing for Adam. It's just not the same when Adam isn't there, but at least it's not fucking Stryker. Howie isn't bad for a show. There was one 28 second stretch of silence probably from a tape flip, so I restored that from another copy of the show I had here. There is a pretty funny call towards the end of the show, but overall Howie is a little too energetic and pushy with callers at times. It's a decent show, but I wouldn't want Howie filling in very often.
