This is a look at the Paradox Men's Elite Waterproof Breathable Rain Jacket. It is a light weight, packable, compressible, rain jacket that is very portable. It isn't as breathable as I'd prefer, but for the purpose I intend it for, it looks like it will be just fine.
This is some casual chat about the three best large pack saws on the market. I provide their specifications and details, offer some of my opinion about these devices and their best uses, and then I do a cut demonstration to give you an idea of their performance and capabilities.

I am taking my trusty Benchmade 710 McHenry and Williams Axis Lock Folding Knife out of service for a while and have decided to carry a Protech Godfather Automatic Knife in its stead. The Benchmade 710 knife is going to go on a trip to visit @TheApostleP for a spa day (fluff and buff he calls the service, I think) and to get a well deserved, long overdue re-profile and mirror edge. That knife has served me not just well, but absolutely perfectly these many years and it deserves professional care.
Due to a law change in my State, I am only recently able to own and carry an automatic knife. This Protech Godfather is the first of many I intend to own. From here, I'll probably go to an OTF like the Microtech Troodon or a Benchmade Infidel. After owning the Protech Godfather for a week, I'm questioning my choice for a couple of reasons which are well addressed in the video.

This is a little overview of a couple of the new versions of the Ontario Knife Company Rat Model 1 Folding Knife with D2 Tool Steel Blades. One of them is a limited edition with carbon fiber handle scales and the other is a non-limited edition with black nylon scales. I'm very impressed that OKC has new versions of the Rat 1 with a nice blade steel upgrade from AUS8 to D2 and the price remains very reasonable keeping the Rat 1 an excellent EDC folding knife value. ... I am speculating that the D2 versions of this knife will become widely available in the near future because the black handle version is not a limited edition. Further, there are quite a few videos in languages I don't speak regarding the D2 versions going back 6 months from the date of posting this. I am only speculating, so if you're interested in getting a D2 version, you should probably visit knifeworks and get one soon in case I'm wrong ;)
Ontario Rat 1 stonewhashed D2 blades in carbon fiber handle scales are starting to appear on Amazon http://amzn.to/2eb2zNB
And D2 Rat 1s with carbon fiber scales with a combo edge are also starting to appear on Amazon http://amzn.to/2e2zCGT

Nature Video.
Several slow motion clips of honey bees working in my raspberry patch. the clips were shot with my OnePlus 6 at 720p 480 frames per second and the music is a royalty free Beethoven's Moonlight Sonata.
Honey Bees and Bumblebees are fascinating. And I'm pretty thankful for the work they do pollinating the plants and trees that produce my food.

This is a discussion and demonstration of the method I use to seam seal polyurethane coated tarps such as the Ettowah Outfitter, Ben's Bushcraft, BCUSA tarps that do not come with heat taped seams. The product I use is called Gear Aid Seam Sure and it is a water based polyurethane emulsion that applies rapidly and thoroughly in a short amount of time. The applicator tip on the Seam Sure bottle has a nice bristle brush that allows you to pick at the threads. Furthermore, the Seam Sure is a thin enough liquid that it does a good job of soaking in to the nylon side of the tarp and saturating the threads very well while being runny enough to find its way in to the needle holes left by stitching the seam, This is an effective method of application and this is an effective product.

This is a thorough look at the Reflect 20D Tarp from 2Go Systems. This model is the Reflect 100 since it's a 10'X10' tarp. He also makes one called the Reflect 120 and that one is a 12'X10' tarp. These are very well made and have some extra features including but not limited to an aluminized thermal reflective coating on one side (an aluminum coating on a waterproofed nylon tarp! What a brilliant idea!). I'm very impressed with the product and the customer service I received.
This is the product page at 2Go Systems where you can buy one. At the bottom of the page, he has some videos regarding some testing he did on the thermal reflective capabilities. You should watch those videos and the benefit will become apparent. https://www.2gosystems.com/collections/tarp-accessories/products/reflect-20d-aluminum-coated-tarp?variant=32612899337
