Everyone likes to dismiss my points by saying that it's only the corporate vtubers who are manipulative, but I just don't buy it.
Today, I'm going to be explaining why indie/independant vtubers are terrible and how they are build on the same fundamental idea as the corporations.
I never mentioned it in the video, but the terms "indie' and "independent" are technically different. Indie often just refers to a small or rising creator, and independent simply means that the creator is not affiliated with any major corporation. I used Snuffy and Krowko as examples of independent and indie vtubers, respectively. It's a small detail that didn't have much bearing on the video, which is why I just left it here.
