Excellent movement for firefighters to practice.
Notice we use a sawing motion and lower the weight on an angel .
Don't allow the weight to drop straight down! Fight to keep it out in front.
Also,The mace will want to "spill" forward due to the uneven load. You have to maintain the angel and be smooth.
Notice as I make slight adjustments on where I place my weight... 1st weight forward on the lead leg (see how I'm pulled forward?) Then as I shift my weight to my rear leg (see how I am more upright?)
This is movement practice at the most basic level. Your job is to try out these different positions and emphasize where and how you distribute your weight.
