10/25/2023 Worm Wednesday Feeding, Harvest of the Vermihut and 37th feeding The harvest tray sat as the top tray for a week to allow the red wigglers to head down into the feeding area. I would agitate the bin to help entice the worms to move out of the vermicompost. I was able to harvest 3 containers worth of castings and it took around 40-50 minutes to feed and harvest the Vermihut system. I feed pulp from the juicer and sprinkled ground egg shells onto the feeding area. After covering I added some worm chow and checked the progress of the levels of the tower. I found worms at the bottom cover and basin of the tower and moved those worms back to the feeding tray.
