❓ What is ASMR anyway?
ASMR stands for Autonomous Sensory Meridian Response and it basically refers to a calming, often tingling physical sensation.
This sensation is 'triggered' by various things such as whispering closely into a micrphone, to make it seem as though the listener (through headphones) is having someone talk very closely and intimately with them. This is probably the most popular and common ASMR trigger.
Other common triggers include, Scratching and tapping on various objects, page turning while reading, simulating personal attention to the viewer and concentration on a task, often a fairly simple task such as drawing a picture or unboxing a new product.

ASMR is brought on by various triggers, usually audible (whispering, crinkling sounds, tapping on various surfaces and textures) but also visual (unboxing videos, slowly describing in detail the aspects of something that in real life would be considered mundane and boring.
