ArcaBit is a well-known Polish antivirus. Using Bitdefender's engine, it never shone in my tests. For this 2024 edition, the publisher claims to have enhanced its RoundKick EDR system, which promises improved detection of unknown threats...
Hello and welcome to the Panda Dome test!
Panda is an antivirus of Spanish origin, quite well known in the world of computer security.
Since 2009, Panda has been offering free antivirus software, named before Panda Cloud, then Panda Dome since 2019.
The antivirus has never shone by its detection capacity, we will see if this year, Panda will surprise us.
The interface is still clear, nothing has changed since 2021. Still suitable for novices. We note that Panda is a little lighter.
In terms of detection, Panda is still average, and even worse than 2021!
In URL, it lets 4 infections pass, even if it tries to defend itself but too late.
On the pack, it is unfortunately a carnage....
Panda blocks several malware but is very quickly saturated by the installation of RAT, Bot and worms...
It saturates while it even ended up shutting down! (except video, it did not answer any more...) obliging me to pass by a LiveCD.
Very disappointed, I didn't expect this.....
COMODO is a well-known American firewall manufacturer.
Comodo is a publisher that was often criticized for not changing much with each major release.
For this BETA 2024, the publisher is making a major shift, and we're going to take a look.
Malware Hunter is an anti-malware software edited by GlarySoft, the ones who edit Glary Utilities.
Although it is easy to use, the protection is non-existent ....
Hello and welcome to this comparison!
We will compare Eset against Acronis.
The 2 antiviruses have different approaches: Eset in the lightness, its engine and especially intended for novices.
Acronis has linked its antivirus to its backup tool and is based on its AI and Bitdefender.
Who will make a machine healthy?
RogueKiller is an anti-malware program published by Adlice.
Formerly developed by a French developer named Tigzy, the project was bought out to make it an antivirus add-on.
It promises real-time protection by blocking cloud-based malware executions, as well as anti-ransomware protection.
Better still, it incorporates a system capable of detecting as yet unknown strains of malware!
All this sounds promising, but... is it effective?
Hello and welcome to the Trend Micro test!
Trend Micro is a Japanese publisher, very well known in the world of computer security.
The publisher went 100% Cloud in 2011 with its former name Titanium and has matured over the years.
Trend Micro is mainly aimed at computer neophytes because there is... no setting! You install it and forget it.
In terms of protection, Trend Micro is very good!
Its scanner has had a good improvement but still not enough.
But it has an excellent behavior blocker!
Beware, it almost got caught on HTA and Batch attacks, fortunately Trend Micro managed to prevent them from starting.
It is recommendable.
K7 is an Indian antivirus that is beginning to make a name for itself in the world of computer security.
The software is evolving a little and finally integrates an AI Machine Learning system called MAT!
I can't wait to see how K7 performs, so let's take a look...
Hello and welcome to the Secureaplus test!
Secureaplus is a Japanese cloud-based antivirus.
It sends any unknown executable to its servers to be analyzed by a dozen antivirus programs.
Secureaplus also offers APEX, its AI Machine Learning solution, which is efficient.
However, the editor lacks protection against script attacks.
Even though Secureaplus has blocked many of them, VBS, JS and Java attacks have passed through and caused some infections.
\!/ It is detected as a PUP by ESET!
Iobit is a Chinese company. Its paid version uses Bitdefender's engine and, even if it is excellent, having a good engine does not mean foolproof security.....
