Enjoy.

So, I pulled the 2006 Ford F350 out of storage. It has a bunch of minor problems, one being that it wasn't charging. What I ended up finding out after looking around a bit is that while sitting, a mouse had chewed thru wiring on the passenger side that is part of the charging system. I knew that the truck had new batteries and a new alternator, and was throwing a code b1318 which is low voltage. The video goes over how to repair the existing plug. You can also order a new pigtail from Ford which is the part number WPT-1045 or alternately 1U2Z-14S411-AHC.
If you need a different Pigtail, Ford sells all of them and the visual catalog is located here:

In this episode, we take our sample bracket and detail it out in a drawing. We go thru a sample type drawing package with a overview front sheet, a sheet with general dimensions (sort of a genereal arrangement drawing) and then the detail pages of each of the 3 body / parts. This is an example of multibody drawing workflow (in my opinion the best design principle) that is VERY uncommon in the Solidworks Community. This will show the user how to isolate a "body per page" so that they are able to send this off to a vendor or the shop floor. I don't use vault so I have no idea how multibody interacts with Vault, or any ERP, MRP system. This is how I tend to design, so it may not work for your situation but as always I hope it gives you some tools to stick in your belt and makes you a better CAD Jockey. Hope you enjoy, Skud.

Hey Guys, first off, let me state that I would not purchase a Walmart battery unless you absolutely have no other choice. I was leaving the next day for the dunes and needed a battery right then. That being said, it works just fine and is a cheap alternative to the battery that actually fits and is meant for the bike. Do yourself a favor and order the right battery ahead of time, however if something happens, like being out there and your weekend is over unless you find a battery, then this is the video for you.
As always I hope this helps someone, Skud.
Walmart Battery Model Numbers I used are ES5L-BS (Larger Battery) or ES4L-BS (Smaller Battery). ES5L-BS dimensions are L:4.49” x W:2.8” x H:4.21”
These batteries no longer show up on Walmart’s website, however they appear to have a similar battery that is an AGM, Model No. 5LBS (also shows as ES5LBS under MFGR PN in the detail section), dimensions are L:4.44” x W:2.75” x H:4.13”

(03-25-22 Edit: Didn't know the video was messed up, when I found out, I fixed and re-uploaded this video which is fixed) All of my solidworks footage from here forward will be 4K since my screens are 4K. This is a widget, not a real part. I thought I would document my workfflow on a simulated change to an existing part. Adding the recess at the back of the "spindle" and adding a tapered nose to the front spindle portion. There is some reordering of the feature tree and comarison between the "before" part and the "after" part. Hope you enjoy, Skud.

In this episode, we have changed the "steering arm" over to a forged style. The change involves extrude up to surface, delete face, and a bunch of filleting. This is a follow up to the last video I uploaded the prior Solidworks Saturday. This time instead of showing all of the work, I just narrated through the differences between the prior part and the updated part. There is some reordering of the feature tree and comarison between the "before" part and the "after" part. Hope you enjoy, Skud.
