In this video I use cut pieces of bluegill as bait for giant fall catfish! In the fall the catfish start moving shallow from their deeper summer waters and they’re in the shallows looking for food and lots of it! Cut bait is probably the most productive way to fish for catfish in the fall. My rig is a basic Carolina rig (or fish finder rig) with a 3 oz sinker connected to 20lb test leader by a swivel and finished off with an 8/0 circle hook connected by a snell knot.
I decided to make this trip into a shorter video to try out that format, I just caught straight to the action. Basically I was fishing the knocker rig with a live mullet by a floating dock when a big fish took off with it without warning. This was the first bite of the day and completely caught me off guard. Before I knew it this big fish was way under the dock and when I finally pulled it out from under the dock it somehow broke my rod. Now this was the first time this has ever happened to me and I don't know if I was lucky or what, but I somehow still caught it.
Please enjoy this chaotic short video which had many expletives edited out in post-production. Let me know what you all think of this shorter type of video, I wouldn't do them all of the time or replace my usual longer videos, just as a different video to mix things up a bit! I caught a few smaller slot reds this day, but I chose to leave them out so I could make a shorter and more exciting video for you guys.
Thank you all so much for watching, I appreciate all of you for helping to grow my channel. It's such a cool experience to have new people commenting on my videos all the time!

I got on the water with only a couple of hours to fish determined to get on a decent bite. I found some sheepshead early on in the trip with a few redfish mixed in, but the bite really started turning on around sunset. When the sun started setting the fish really started biting and that hot bite kept me fishing until after dark but man was it worth it! Hope you all enjoy the action.

My buddy Jackson and I were finally able to meet up again for some sheepshead fishing on his home waters of Edisto Island. This was only my 2nd time fishing this area, but this may just be my favorite area to target sheepshead at this point! The action started out a little slow, but we absolutely hammered the big fish in this one. Thanks for watching and I hope you all enjoyed the video!

Well the stars aligned and the conditions were finally nice enough to allow me to try freelining fiddler crabs aka fishing a bait without any weight attached. It's a technique that takes some patience to do right, but if the wind and current let you removing your splitshot will help you catch way more fish on your next trip out! I know it helped me and the difference wasn't even close! I caught so many fish so quickly and my hookup ratio went WAY up once I removed my splitshot. You just have to keep a close eye on your line!
So next time you're sheepshead fishing, or bait fishing in general using a splitshot, don't be afraid to try removing that split shot and seeing what happens. It just might make an OK day of fishing a great one!
Thank you all for watching I hope you enjoyed the video! Have a great weekend and remember to make some time for fishing!

I tried to be as thorough as possible when putting this how to sheepshead fishing guide, I wanted to cover as much as I could! In this video I go over general tips and tricks on how to find these fish and what it is that makes them such a challenge to catch for many fishermen. I then go over a detailed breakdown of each of my favorite rigs: the Carolina Rig, the Split Shot Rig, Free lining, using Sheepshead Jigs, and finally the Slip Float Rig.
I hope this videos is useful for you all and I sincerely hope it helps you be more successful on the water and become better sheepshead fishermen while also helping you to put more food on your table!

I think the title here sort of speaks for itself in regards to this video. My fishing trip started out badly with only a few small fish and some missed bites. After running into a subscriber which is always nice I immediately caught a big redfish, quickly followed by me dropping my GoPro in the water. After a few minutes of searching in the murky creek I was finally able to find it and it lived to see another day (as did the fish).
I wanted to make this video as a little reminder that everybody has bad trips and they can't all be great days on the water. And we all have some googan moments from time to time... some more than others.
Thank you for watching I appreciate you all!
