I remember the first time I listend to country and enjoyed it. It was about 15 years ago, there were no other radio stations, as I traveled north to visit my mom. It reminded me of rock music from the 80s. And best of all, I was able to understand what they were saying. This is one of my favorite all time artists, Blake Shelton. This particular song, isn't that twangy, but he does do some twangy songs as well. Its imho a great intro to what's termed as 'New Country', 'Country Rock', or 'Y2Country'. Hopefully, you will give it a chance, and choose to like it as well.
Does anyone remember the original Blade movie, staring Wesley Snipes? Well, there was a club scene with a group of girls yelling/singing, but it never made the soundtrack. This is that song. It might be one of the groups that actually started the kpop revolution, since the movie highlighted them, and was released in 1998. Too bad they never put their song on the soundtrack, I bet they would have taken off internationally.
This song, I like because of the different voice, but I love the feedback session towards the end (starts around 3:20). The beginning of the song is a bit like what you would expect from a YouTube video, but then the feedback hits you. Loving these sounds along with the drum beats. Really reminds me of somthing punk-rock-ish.
You might be surprised to find how 2 guys can play a cello, and have it sound amazing, but these "2 Cellos" have done just that. Expect to be wondering why no one else has done this type of playing before. You can find them on YouTube, Facebook, or Instagram, if you want to see more.
If you're a fan of the 80s TV Shows and their soundtracks, such as MacGyver, Magnum P.I., Knight Rider, Hawaii 5-O, and A-Team, you'll enjoy this remix. Sorry, I do not know who the original mixer was. I have seen re-mixes of this by various artists, but they don't hold credit to the original.
