No funny business going on here. Well over 1000 rounds with the optic, multiple drops, getting rained on, getting submerged, and it has handled all of it very very well. It is one of the smallest and lightest optics in its price range and it definitely has the most versatile reticle out of any other LPVO, but it's not perfect. other scopes in this price range have better illumination, glass, eye relief, eye box, and FOV. That is not to say that this optic does any of those things poorly but it is not the best in every category. But, not as good up close as standard red dots and not as good at longer distances as something that has more magnification. It kinda gets put in a weird spot for most people where it doesn't do anything the best but it does a lot of things really well, good eyebox, good glass, good reticle design, precise enough for a 1x optic, smaller and lighter than most scopes. But again, not really excelling at anything more than other options on the market. If you have an astigmatism and can't use red dots as effectively than this is probably one of the best 1x options on the market.
