No commentary, mostly blind playthrough of Psychotoxic. Played on Windows 10, presented in 4K, normal difficulty. Psychotoxic, albeit being a German game, could easily pass as the ultimate slavjank game. Released in 2004, this game went through development hell for too long, using an engine meant for pr0n games and mistreated by publishers which trolled the dev team. We are left with a game which looks ok-ish, plays so-so, and looks like it has a trainwreck of a story despite I don't know sh** about it. Why I don't know sh** about the story? Because I couldn't get the cutscenes to work at all. If I install the codec, the game freezes for extended periods of time, so the better choice was to not install the video codec so the videos don't play at all. The transitions to the videos are still in the game, and even some doors take a long time to open since they must be scripted to not open until the video is done playing. Dragging the video files onto my media player results on playback without sound, so it isn't all that helpful. I achieved the 4K resolution by hex editing some dlls in the game directory, the FoV doesn't look too terrible though, and the weapon FoV is already huge by default in 4:3, so not my fault. For how jank the game is, it surprised me as I didn't face any technical issues at all until nearly the end, where I had to limit the framerate to 60 to avoid an instadeath situation. According to the back of my game DVD case, 3 of the 4 horsemen of the apocalypse have already came, and the 4th is a nuclear bombardment in New York of all places. You have to keep that from happening. You are a girl which seems to be able to enter and manipulate people's dreams, and with that and a bunch of guns you'll kill hundreds of policemen and FBI agents (lol), hobos (lol) and literally anyone in your way. Game isn't the worst here on the channel by a long stretch, but is lackluster in every single way, and as janky as it could be. There are tons of physics objects in the levels which can and will block doorways forever if you are not careful, and if you lack self preservation, the enemies will tear you a new one in no time. -------------- Playthrough sin comentarios y mayormente a ciegas de Psychotoxic. Jugado en Windows 10, presentado en 4K, dificultad normal. Psychotoxic, a pesar de ser un juego alemán, podría pasar tranquilamente por el slavjank definitivo. Lanzado en 2004, este juego pasó un infierno de desarrollo, usando un motor diseñado para juegos pr0nográficos y maltratado por distintos publishers que trolearon al equipo de desarrollo. Nos quedamos con un juego que luce ok, se juega regulín, y que parece que tiene una historia que descarrila por momentos, y eso que no tengo ni p*** idea de ella. ¿Por qué no sé ni mi***a de la historia? Pues porque no pude poner a andar las cutscenes. Si instalo el códec, el juego se congela durante largos periodos, así que la mejor opción fue no instalar el códec para que no se reproduzcan. Las transiciones a los vídeos siguen ahí, y algunas puertas parece que están programadas para que no se abran hasta el vídeo termine, así que tardan en abrirse. Arrastrar los vídeos a mi reproductor resulta en reproducción sin sonido ninguno, así que no ayuda mucho. Conseguí arrancarlo en 4K editando hexadecimalmente algunos ficheros, el FoV no es muy terrible, y el FoV de las armas ya es enorme en 4:3, así que no es mi culpa. Para lo verde que está el juego, me ha sorprendido no sufrir problemas técnicos hasta casi el final, donde tuve que limitar la tasa de fotogramas para evitar una situación de muerte instantánea. De acuerdo con la trasera de mi DVD del juego, 3 de los 4 jinetes del apocalipsis ya han llegado, y el 4º es un bombardeo nuclear en Nueva York, ¿dónde sino?. Tienes que evitarlo. Eres una chica que parece tener la habilidad de entrar y manipular los sueños de la gente, y con eso y un puñado de armas tendrás que matar cientos de policías y agentes del FBI (lol), sintechos (lol), y literalmente todo el que se ponga en tu camino. El juego no es peor que ha pasado por el canal de largo, pero le falta una patatita para el kilo en todos los sentidos, y todo lo verde que puede ser. Hay muchos elementos de físicas en los mapas que bloquearán las puertas para siempre si no tienes cuidado, y si no te preocupas por tu bienestar, los enemigos te liquidarán en nada. No commentary playthrough of Overboard for Doom2. Ultra-Violence, finding all secrets, aiming for all kills, pistol start on every level. Overboard is one of the heavy hitters from 2022, created by moisty (Going Down). 6+6 levels for a Boom compatible port in a caribbean setting, with islands, cruisers and the such. The "scripting" in these levels is top tier, as expected from moisty. Why the 6+6 levels? No commentary playthrough of Eradicator, max. difficulty, getting all secrets. Played under DOSBox. Eradicator is a DOS fps developed by Accolade and released in 1996, and I can see why I hadn't heard of it or played it back in the day, as it was behind the curve when it released in late 96 with the Build games and Quake already in the market. If only it had high resolution modes... Anyway, I enjoyed this little gem, it plays nice and fast, you can choose between 3 characters, you can control androids, it has nice bosses... definetly worth a spin. ----------------- Playthrough sin comentar de Eradicator, dificultad máxima, consiguiendo todos los secretos. Eradicator es un fps desarrollado por Accolade para DOS y lanzado en 1996, y puedo apreciar porqué no había jugado, ni escuchado hablar sobre él, ya que estaba por debajo de la media cuando se lanzó a finales del 96, con los juegos del motor Build reninando y con Quake ya en el mercado. Si al menos tuviese modos de vídeo en alta resolución... No commentary playthrough of Mullet Mad Jack. Normal difficulty. In the future, man and Internet have merged into a new being. This being needs dopamine every 10 seconds, or else it will die! The world is now ruled by super rich A.I. robots called "robillionaires", those who put their 10 seconds of life on the line to kill the robots are called moderators, and you're one of them. MMJ is a roguelike, time attack FPS with a unique look which merges neon/synthwave looks with classic 80s animes. You have to push forward while killing as much as you can to refill your time and reaching the floor exit (and obtain the mandatory roguelike powerup). Every floor is usually less than a minute long, and every 10 floors you fight a boss, in hopes to rescue the princess. As much as I dislike roguelikes, this game slaps, period. This game is very roguelite in a sense that I might call it a "roguelight". En el futuro el hombre e Internet se han unido en un nuevo ser. Este ser necesita dopamina cada 10 segundos o morirá! El mundo es gobernado por robots extremadamente ricos llamados "robillonarios", aquellos que ponen sus 10 segundos de vida en juego para matar los robots se llaman moderadores, y tú eres uno de ellos. MMJ es un FPS roguelike, time attack con un aspecto único que mezcla la estética neón/synthwave con los animes de los 80. Tienes que arrasar hacia el frente al mismo tiempo que matas todo lo que puedas para mantener tu contador de tiempo, alcanzar la salida (y recibir el powerup mandatorio de los roguelikes). Cada piso suele estar por debajo del minuto de duración y cada 10 pisos peleas contra un jefe, con la esperanza de rescatar a la princesa. A pesar de lo poco que me gustan los roguelikes, este juego manda, punto. Es muy roguelite en un sentido que yo casi lo llamaría un "roguelight". La campaña está dividida en capítulos y si mueres no tienes que empezar desde el principio, sino desde el capítulo actual.
