A late-era budget Space Harrier clone released on the Amstrad CPC, Spectrum, C64, Atari ST and Amiga. If I'd have seen this on sale for the CPC I'd have probably purchased it as I'm a sucker for Space Harrier style games. However this isn't so much the real deal as a thrown together knock off.

Jail Break is an arcade game by Konami that sees you try to rescue the prison governor who is being held hostage in the middle of a riot. It's a left to right scroller that was ported to the home systems by Imagine. I look at the Amstrad CPC, Sinclair Spectrum and C64 versions of this arcade game. Oddly for a Konami game there is no MSX version. It was advertised but as far as I know not so much as a screenshot actually exists. Which is just as well given the state of these versions.....

Auf Wiedersehen, Pet was a hugely popular TV show in the UK during the 1980's featuring a team of builders who go to work in West Germany for better pay and employment prospects.
Tynesoft licensed the show to turn it into a video game. But how well does it translate? We look at the BBC Micro and Sinclair Spectrum versions using the original hardware.

30 years ago this Christmas, a CPC 6128 turned up in our house as the family computer. Take a journey back with this very personal perspective on Amstrads disc based 128k computer and what it meant to me.
All footage recorded from a real CPC 6128 unless specified.
