If I had ten boxes of this pizza, I would happily eat them for every meal every day until they were gone. Sure, this is not very healthy. But, it is easy. And when I am in "Energy Save Mode", this is one of my best options to help stave off Overload. Finding food and preparing food for every &*&ing meal is extremely annoying and draining for me. Acceptance of my limitations is the lesson here...I see that I will simply NEVER be able to ADAPT to certain environments...It's like trying to train a fish to work on dry land and telling it, "Just keep trying, try harder, everyone else can do it." And then the fish collapses at the same time every day and has to be thrown back into the water - its own environment. We keep trying to push ourselves to fit into jobs, or environments that tax our abilities and stretch our nerves and tolerance to the limits. Then, when we are getting dragged off to the hospital during a meltdown...we wonder, "How'd I get to this point?" I believe the way to prevent complete meltdowns and mini-shutdowns, and also to create a bit more peaceful existence for ourselves is to 1. Learn what our limits really are and 2. Accept those limits without shame.
