I just got done doing some minor fret-work on this lovely guitar! It was relatively easy to do since there were only a small number of high frets (6). It's on-par with the Gibsons I've seen coming into the shops of techs I know - and the ones I've seen on YouTube. Now, that the main work on this guitar is done, it's just excellent all-around! This is DEFINITELY a Boston guitar for sure!
"Don't Look Back" is the title song of Boston's 1978 album and is written by Tom Scholz. It reached #4 on the Billboard charts that year!
SIGNAL CHAIN:
GUITAR: Firefly Les Paul 'Classic' Goldtop - Sent to me by Firefly as a replacement for a defective Les Paul 'Elite' that I bought. I threw a mirror pickguard on it. It needs no other upgrades - at least right now. The pickups are nice and clear and - to me - sound like Alnico II humbuckers. Works for me!
