Secondaries: Fox, Mega Man, Samus, Pikachu, Meta Knight, Little Mac, Bowser, Pikachu, Ness, Falco While that is a really good question, he is certainly much more fun to use now! Donkey Kong is certainly one of the heavyweights and as you can imagine, he wields those properties quite well. Though, he is certainly not a slow heavyweight by any means. A fair number of his moves come out with a bit of swiftness and he has a LOT of KO potential with his heavier hits. Like most heavyweights, DK has a few moves with super armor (flinch resistance) under certain conditions for two of his special moves, and his horizontal recovery is certainly one of the better ones. Finally, he's one of the better shield breakers in the game and his throwing game is easily one of the best thanks to his forward throw doubling as a cargo carrier. Things you gotta watch out for is that his horizontal recovery is SOOO good, his vertical recovery is pretty awful. He's also a pretty big target now and that hurt box is just asking for juggles. Just look for a video of Little Mac's aerial combo and you'll see what I mean. Last but not least, DK's approach game is pretty pitiful. He has good aerials, but they can only go so far. To plainly put it, DK needs to rely on zoning and spacing tactics to get anywhere with him. He has great punishing moves and his pressure game is certainly quite threatening as shields can and will be broken by him if they're put up too much. Also, DK is the ONLY character in the game with eight different throws, making it tough to guess how you'll be tossed (if at all) if you're snatched up. While DK's offensively stacked, it's the defense that is crucial to your success. This is why zoning and spacing is important, but it is definitely a big reason why he is so fun to play! DK is of course, going to have trouble against characters that are great jugglers, as his hurt box is HUGE. So if you're getting tossed in the air, find a way to get back on the ground FAST! Of course, the usual suspects of fast characters and those with ranged projectiles also prove to be a tough battle for him at times. FINALLY they have dropped the power bomb and unleashed one of the best Metroid games ever made! And better yet, it's a SEQUEL! Done are the remakes and what-if non-canon installments (and failed explorations)! It all started with E3, the news took mostly everyone by surprise and disbelief ran rampant! But it was the truth, Metroid was finally getting a new game and the ones that did reasonably well with a remake that showed promise, Samus Returns, was the main team behind the magic. With Nintendo's involvement, a wonderful by-product has come to fruition and possibly a new age of Metroid might has been brought to life!
