Tesla vs. Nikola | Does Tesla Own the Future or Are We Seeing a New Era of Tech Bubbles?
During the last roundtable, we analyzed the TSLA price and talked about how we would handle an investment in Tesla.
I personally sold some Tesla during this rally to $1,000 a share. It’s been a wild ride with TSLA over the past few years since I bought the shares, but this entire market environment feels far too inflated to validate these market prices. Even for TSLA which is one of my most bullish positions.
We also talked about this new clean energy car company that recently filed their IPO, Nikola. Is the hype around Nikola just hype around something that has yet to deliver a product?
"Nikola Motor has not produced any products yet. It doesn't even have a factory. The company is building a factory in Coolidge, Ariz. The site has been cleared and construction will begin in 2020, Milton told TechCrunch in a recent interview, adding that he hoped for it to start this summer.” - Techcrunch
I have obvious biases to prefer Tesla over Nikola but it is interesting to see some competition. Hopefully they produce an actual product so we have something to compare. For now, we can settle for a nice chart by chart comparison and look at the technicals for the stock prices of each company.
Is Nikola the next TSLA in terms of buying their shares? I have no idea and there isn’t a whole lot you can tell from the chart since we don’t have any history to go off of. Regardless, we gave some price levels on the roundtable and talked about where it *might* be cheap and where it might be expensive.

Cub Finance's most anticipated feature for Binance Smart Chain yield farming is the new Kingdoms feature. Kingdoms allow you to cross-platform yield farm on BSC. I.e. pool CAKE and earn CAKE + CUB simultaneously.
On top of that, Kingdoms are autocompounding contracts. Your CAKE (for example) gets reinvested into your base CAKE position while earning you liquid CUB rewards.

In this clip from episode #14 of the LEO Roundtable, Rolland asked an interesting question that gave some interesting insight into how we all think about bitcoin and cryptocurrencies in general:
Rolland: "Is Bitcoin Inevitable?”
Our responses varied but we all have the same underlying belief that Bitcoin & cryptocurrencies are here to stay. We may disagree from time to time on what currencies those are and what use cases are most ripe for disruption, but I think it’s obvious from our responses that we all carry a strong belief about the future of Bitcoin.
I’ll paraphrase our responses. In short, we said:
* Neal: "law of disruption: If it’s 10x better and 10x cheaper… it will win"
* Khal: “I believe it’s gonna go up, but I also know that there’s a chance that it could fail.. because anything is possible"
* Mitch: “We all believe in it, but it’s not guaranteed. Nothing is guaranteed to happen and also nothing is guaranteed to not happen"
We elaborate more in the clip and I’m sure this topic will also come back up on a future roundtable as we try to dig through this concept of the inevitability of Bitcoin. It’s an interesting question especially as we all have varying degrees of confidence and choices of investment.

The #Binance saga seems to be drawing to a close as CZ and Binance itself have issued multiple apologies and statements regarding the #Steem Hostile Takeover and their involvement in helping Justin Sun overthrow the governance of the Steem Blockchain.
Obviously, their apologies are carefully worded and they don’t really appear to take on much blame at all. Any blame aimed at them was redirected toward Justin. Ultimately, CZ chalked up his part of this “fiasco” as a simple lack of understanding when he signed off on the hard fork, powerup of STEEM and installment of fake witnesses.
Still, Binance has retracted the vote and initiated a power down of the customer funds that they used in the hostile takeover.
This doesn’t make up for the fact that they took part in a hostile takeover that is still ongoing. Without Binance’s involvement, the hostile takeover would never have happened. Steem would have never had Justin Sun in charge of the entire #blockchain with 20 fake witness accounts and we would have likely resolved the power struggle in closed door meetings with Tron and Justin.
Instead, we (the Steem Community) have been forced into an ongoing battle for the top witness spots. We currently hold 9/20 of these spots and are fighting Justin who is leveraging both the Steemit, Inc. ninja-mined stake as well as Poloniex’s customer funds.
Justin has also been neglecting the duties of running Steemit, Inc. and certain functionalities are already falling apart at the seams like account recovery.

Hey everyone. After a crazy day and all sorts of wild speculation from the Steem community about what’s going to happen now that Tron and Justin Sun have officially purchased Steemit, Inc., I decided to collect all the information that is available to us and give my opinions on this whole situation.
Please keep this in mind when you listen to this video and also when you hear anyone else in the community talking about this — we have such a small amount of information about this whole ordeal. Aside from a few tweets and 1 non-comprehensive blog post, we haven’t heard much of anything about this deal. We also have gotten 0 response from Steemit, Inc. other than Ned’s 1 tweet in which he called us “Steemitans”, whatever that means.

Today is a much happier day than yesterday.
We saw Justin Sun walk up, collude with Binance, Huobi and Poloniex to steal our Steem car.
After he stole the car by installing his own top 20 sock puppet witnesses (all running on 1 node, btw), his team got to work on a hard fork that would solidify some of the bullshit tactics that he’s been spewing. Effectively disrupting Steem as we know it.
The community did not have any of this. Today, we’ve spent countless hours on Twitter and Steem in order to rally support and vote in the previous top 20 witnesses back into consensus. As of this writing, we are now at 6 out of the 20 witnesses in power and it is growing every hour.
Over the course of the next 12 hours, I believe we will once again have consensus majority (16/20 witnesses) and will be back in the driver’s seat of the Steem Blockchain. From there, we can figure out how to proceed with Justin Sun. I assume we will install the decline_voting_rights operation to his stake, at the least, and essentially tell him to become a silent investor.
We don’t need him. We’re stronger without him and without people who are just as bad (or even worse) than Ned.
Today is a great day for Steem. Celebrate this day and don’t forget to vote for your REAL witnesses.
