This video is about Cutting Prosper3 Grain Hay, 2014. It's a mixture of beardless barley, beardless oats, and beardless wheat. It was a very high yield crop. We wanted to see if it would make a good alfalfa replacement. Cut with a John Deere MoCo rotary swather being pulled by a John Deere 4230. ... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AOT6qSJodok
Driving around the 1939 John Deere A after doing some work on it throughout the winter. We replaced the radiator core, muffler, and rebuilt carburator. This is the tractor that I made the time lapse reassembly of.

Here's some video footage of a Farmall Super M and John Deere Model A driving through a field. The first half is drone footage, while the second half is footage from the tractor. I wanted to capture the different perspectives of operating the two machines. The Farmall is still being worked on, which is why the sheet metal is still missing from the machine.
Shot with a DJI Phantom and an iPhone XS. Compiled on Ubuntu Linux using KDEnlive.

Seeing how the snow level has dropped to where it's almost gone, and the temperatures have warmed up after a long winter, I thought it would be fun to take the 420 out for a spin. This was the first time it was driven since last fall. The 420 is a 420 Utility model with under-exhaust. It's a fun little tractor and was a beautiful day.

I thought she was going to be stuck, but then she pulled ahead and made it to the top. We've had a very wet and warm fall and winter--usually at this time we have lots of cold temperatures and snow, but this year it's so far been just a lot of mud.

I had to move the '39 A out of where I had it stored, and since it's not running great and is a hand start I most likely won't be getting it out this winter, so I put it behind everything else in the side of the barn. I've had the carb rebuilt, and it still isn't running too well. Anyway, since I had it out and had some of the other tractors started and moved out as well, I thought I'd take the opportunity to post a short video.
We're fortunate that it's been this warm with the weather as good as it has been. Typically by this time of year we're already accumulating some snowfall and the temperatures are rarely above the mid-20s.
Hopefully next year I'll be able to get it running better. But the list of machines I have to work on is getting pretty large...

The purpose of this video (besides an excuse to go out and play on the two-cylinders for a little while) was to test the auto-follow feature of the new DJI Phantom 4 drone.
The drone did okay with following it in a straight line, but seemed to have a lot of trouble once I turned too sharp and lost it out of the frame. I can understand that happening, but I think they should work on the software some to allow it to better re-acquire the visual lock and begin to follow the subject again. It's kind of a pain to have to drive all of the way back to the controller just to bring the drone home and start all over again.
One of the main reasons I upgraded from the 3 to the 4 was for the auto-follow feature. I want to be able to do a lot of farming pictures with it this year, so hopefully it will work out okay. I imagine DJI is working on improving the system and will be releasing an update (or series of updates) in the near future.
I'm sorry that there is no audio or music. I should have had another device with me recording the sound of the machines. Since I didn't, I couldn't find any royalty free music that didn't drive me crazy after 20 minutes. Sometimes silence is golden.
There's also a shot of me on the Honda CRF 450 towards the end.
If nothing else, I hope you enjoy some shots of a John Deere 730 Diesel and Model A. The 730 is a 1960 model, and the A is a 1951 model.
